Agnipariksha was a part of the original Ramayan. It happened after the war. She had no sons then.

The other story is where he sends her off. He regrets it later. Even the dhobhi comes and apologises. There's no point of having an agnipariksha then.

No sita give agnipariksha aftter rescue from lanka. Because ppl also accused her that she give agniparksha in front of wanars n ppl .she have to give agni pariksha i front of ppl but sita left ram nnever come back .she only scrafice her self respect only once but after that she never compromise

Anu there is a mythology section and they have a doubts section.Put it there. I swear these ladies have read every holy book out there...they even run these threads on the mythology serial forums. Varaali I believe starts them.

The thing is, when she was coming back to Ram from Ravan after the war, Ram was so overwhelmed and full of grief and guilt that he could not save her.. She saw sorrow in his eyes.. Even monkeys started gossiping abt it..Ram never asked her for Agnipariksha.. Out of guilt he asked her that she is free to choose any king of that era as her husband but it was Seeta who said she stil loves Ram and she jumped in fire and said if she is virtuous she will be saved by fire.. Ram never really doubted Seeta..

Then they came back to Ayodhya..And one day Ram heard wacherman's conversation when he was wandering in his kingdom in disguise and very next day he asked Lakshman to depart Seeta in forest..
