CHAPTER TWENTY TWO :
'Where are you ?' They were looking for dresses when Dilshad called him.
'We are doing shopping but have no idea about Indian dresses here. Can you help us ami ?' Asad asked her.
'Yes, I am coming. I have to talk to you.' Dilshad said with a smile.
'Ok. Thank You.' Asad said.
Dilshad helped her in buying different dresses. Asad was getting bored, he had nothing to do other than paying the bills.
'Ami, I have to buy a bridal dress too.' Zoya said to her while going to the next shop.
'Which color Zoya ?' Dilshad asked her.
'Deep red color, right Asad ?' Zoya asked him.
'Yes, ami you should also buy a dress for yourself.' Asad said.
'Ok, I will.' Dilshad said.
'I will wear this dress on your wedding.' They were done with shopping when Dilshad said that. Asad and Zoya looked at each other. Was she coming to Doha for their wedding ? or were they getting married here ?
'Lets go to that restaurant.' Asad said to avoid this topic.
'Can you cook Zoya ?' Dilshad asked her. There lunch was served now.
'Yes, I can but I am not good at Pakistani dishes.' Zoya told her honestly.
'Its ok. Asad likes Italian food.' Dilshad said.
'Ya but I will learn Pakistani dishes too.' Zoya said.
'That's good.' Dilshad smiled at her.
'Have you decided anything about your wedding ?' Dilshad asked them.
'Not yet but we will be getting married soon.' Asad said but he felt something fishy in her question.
'Hmm. . . . .What about her father ? Did you meet him ?' Asad asked him again.
'Yes and he likes Asad.' Zoya told her.
'Zoya, I want to meet your father.' Dilshad said suddenly. They both were surprised at this.
'I know Asad had met him already and your father is happy with your marriage but I want to meet him and ask for your hand in traditional way.' Dilshad said to her. Asad had no clue what to say at that ? Dilshad was directly asking Zoya and Zoya had no problem of her coming home but she wasn't sure what Asad wants.
'So can I come ?' Dilshad asked her again.
'Yes, ami anytime you want. You can come.' Zoya said. She was confused what should she say so she finally said yes.
'Thank You so much beta.' Dilshad was happy to hear that. She never thought that Zoya will agree so easily.
'Ami, you can have lunch or dinner with us tomorrow.' Zoya said to her.
'Ok beta, We will be there for lunch. Only me and Asad.' Dilshad said.
They were in the car now. Dilshad went back home in her car. Asad was quiet still and she was feeling guilty that she invited his mother without asking him.
'I am sorry if you didn't like that but try to understand my position Asad.' Zoya said after a while.
'Zoya please don't say sorry. I am not upset with you. Whatever you did was right. I am thinking about something else.' Asad looked tensed.
'What are you thinking about ?' Zoya asked him.
'I don't know, I have a feeling that she wants us to get married here.' Asad said.
'And what do you think about that ?' Zoya asked him.
'I am not sure, I don't want to stay here more than a week. I don't want to meet my family again except my mother. What do you want ?' Asad said.
'It doesn't matter to me whether we marry here or there. It all depends on you.' Zoya said to him.
'Ok I will think about it.' Asad said.
'Anyways, thanks for the dresses.' Zoya said happily.
'I don't need your thanks.' Asad smiled at her.
'Then what ?' Zoya asked him.
'I just want you to be happy.'
'Oh ! I thought you will ask for something.' She winked at him.
'No, I don't need to ask you for anything. You are totally mine.' Asad said and smiled at her thoughts.
'Well in that case, why haven't you kissed me from last two days ?' Zoya asked him with sad face.
'Zoya ! You are talking infront of my driver. Stop it.' Asad was getting embarrassed now.
'Allah Miyaan ! What's wrong with you Asad ? A very beautiful girl is asking you for a kiss and you are worried about the driver.' She loved to irritate him.
'Ok fine. I will kiss you when we are alone. Just change the topic right now.' He said angrily.
'And what if I don't then ?' She was smiling at his condition. I love these expressions on his face. She thought.
He looked at her naughty face and then to the driver, he was driving and was not looking in the back view mirror. He minimised the gap between them and pecked his lips with her for a second, just a touch and moved back and looked at her shocked face which was turning red now.
'Then I will kiss you infront of everyone and don't blame me after that.' He smirked at her.
'You are just disgusting. How can you ?' She was looking at the driver now who was looking at his front but she wasn't sure if he saw them or not. It was Asad's time to irritate her, he was smiling at her expressions.
'I told you already that I won't ask you.' Asad was still smiling.
'Just stop it now.' She said angrily but she was still blushing.
'What if I don't then ?' He said in her tone.
'Then I will kill you.' She said and looked outside.
'Ok fine. I stop. ' Asad tried to hide his smile.

Rashid was sitting in his study and was finalizing the cards for Asad's wedding. He was on the phone when Ayaan entered.
'Yes ? What happened ?' Rashid asked him after the call.
'What is all this going on Abu ?' Ayaan asked him.
'What are you talking about ?' Rashid asked him.
'These wedding preparations ? Ami is busy preparing for the clothes and catering outside, here you are busy with the wedding cards ? What is all this ? If he is coming to this house then I am going to leave this house with my wife for sure.' Ayaan said angrily.
'You can go wherever you want to go but Asad will get married here. I have told Dilshad to do that. She is going to meet Zoya's parents tomorrow. He deserves to be happy, I am doing all this for Asad.' Rashid said to him.
'No, I think he deserves what he got.' Ayaan said angrily.
'I never told you anything just because I care about you. I don't want to see my another son unhappy but I think you deserve to know everything .' Rashid said to him angrily.
'What are you talking about ?' His voice was confused now.
'I should have told you before than you won't have looked at Asad with hate yesterday. You would have regretted and you would have said Salam to your elder brother with some respect atleast. What do you know about that girl Sameerah ? Who was she ?' Rashid looked at his shocked face.
'Asad was always right, you never deserved that girl. He wanted you to be happy. He said she is an adultress but he didn't know she was more than that. I cannot even say what I know about her.' Rashid said and looked away and wiped his tears.
'She was getting married to you for money but when she saw Asad, she wanted to marry him. She did seduce him Ayaan. Just take this file and read everything about her. I can't tell you by myself.' Rashid said and took out a file from the drawer.
'No I think there is a misunderstanding, this is not possible.' Ayaan said after going through the file. His voice was shaky now.
'This is true. He is one of the best detectives in America and you can see the proofs too.' Rashid said angrily. Ayaan fell on the ground.
'No Abu. . . How can she do this to Bhaijaan ?' Ayaan was still in shock, tears were falling down from his eyes.
'Control yourself Ayaan, there are many other things you have to face. This is just nothing.' Rashid said to him and took out another file.
'I won't have told you this but its high time you should know everything.' Rashid said but Ayaan was lost in his thoughts. Never in his dreams he thought that Sameerah was on mistake.
'I will kill that Bitch abu. I am not going to leave her so easily. I will talk to bhaijaan, I will say sorry to him.' He was shouting now but at the end his voice was low, he was crying.
'You should Ayaan but first take a look at this file after that if you have the courage to say sorry than take me with you aswell.' Rashid gave him Asad's file now. Ayaan looked at Rashid, now he was also crying.
'What is in . . . .What is in this file abu ?' Ayaan was confused, he was getting scared from Rashid's expressions.
'I don't know.' Rashid couldn't tell him. He walked out of the room.
Ayaan read the file, he was more than shocked. He didn't know how to react, his face went slack, body unmoving, and color draining from his face as he stared wide-eyed at the file. He felt like he is not breathing, but when shock began to melt away, he was feeling more than guilty.
'Ayaan, you know what I got admission in Harvard.'
He heard Asad telling him, he was more than happy but Ayaan felt jealous at that like always.
'Don't go. Lets celebrate.' He heard again and Ayaan fell on the chair.
'Why ? What's so special ? Oh you got admission in Harvard. Thats good but sorry, for me thats not so important that I should leave my match BHAIJAAAN.'
He remembered how he used to talk to Asad just because he was better than him. Yes, he was better than him always in everything. That is the reason all this started from. Ayaan was jealous of him because he was not as obedient and intelligent as Asad was.
'Daughter in law ? I think you have made a wrong decision Abu. Woh ladki Ayaan ke liye bilkul bhi theek nahi hai.'
Yes, he always wanted Ayaan to be happy. He was always worried about him. But why did Ayaan always misunderstood him ? Just because Ayaan was not gold hearted like Asad. He could never be like Asad who always gave him what he wants.
'Ayaan, she is lieing. She is a fraud.' Ayaan was crying now, he threw the file away. He remembered how he hit his elder brother just for a girl who was playing with both of them.
'Abbu, ghaleez mein nahi yeh ladki hai. Mujhe kehte hue bhi sharam arahi hai. . . . . . . Isne khud mujhe. . . . She tried to seduce me. She is an adultress.' Asad was crying now.
Yes, she is an adultress, she always was. But Asad was never like that. he knew Asad from last 20 years than why didn't he believe him ? Just because he never wanted to believe him. It was not like love made him blind but jealousy killed him from inside, he didn't care about anything else but he wanted to win.
His father threw Asad outside. What was he doing at that time ? Resting in his room. Where was his brother at that time ? How did he get into this problem ? Where did he go after hospital ? He never thought in last ten years but today if he was facing the reality than he was facing his real emotions too.
There was nothing left in his life except regretting. He wanted to apologize to everyone for everything but it wasn't so easy for him.

She was getting ready when she heard car horn. She came down, his father was coming inside.
'Have you invited Sameerah aswell ?' He saw Sameerah's car coming inside.
'Yes abu. She wanted to meet Asad.' She felt her father didn't like that.
Sameerah came inside with Hashim and hugged her. She was happy for her sister.
'Lets go to your room.' Sameerah said.
'Ok.' Zoya said and they both walked inside while Ghafoor was still busy at thinking something.
'Is this your room ?' Sameerah asked her. She was not happy to see her room.
'Yes, Abu gave it to me. Isn't it cool ? Even there is a studio in that room.' She told her excitedly and waved her hand to another direction.
'Well ! that's good that he cares about you now.' Sameerah said.
'Abu has changed alot Sam, he is guilty now.' Zoya said.
'You have just came here two days before, don't give me your opinion. I have just came to check what is he going to talk with Asad and his mother.' Sameerah tried to make her understand.
'Don't worry, nothing will go wrong today.' Zoya said with a smile on her face.
Her phone was ringing Sam looked at it. It was Asad's call.
'Let me take this call.' Sameerah tried to irritate her.
'No give me back Sam.' Zoya snatched her phone and picked it up.
'Yes ?' Zoya said.
'I just wanted to tell you I will be there in half an hour. I am just waiting for Ami to come.' Asad said.
'Ok. I am waitng.' Zoya said.
'I love you Zoya.' Asad said.
'I know that Asad and I believe you.' Zoya couldn't say love you too infront of Sam.
'Won't you say you love me too ?' Asad wanted to hear that again. He felt like it was the last time he was talking to her.
'I love you too, Asad.' Zoya said without caring about Sam.
She turned back and looked at Sameerah. She was looking at her. She wasn't understanding her expressions. Then Sameerah looked away suddenly.
'Are you done with your call ?' Sameerah asked her.
'Yes, I am.' Zoya said.
'Then get ready now. I will go help ami.' Sameerah said and walked out of her room.

Asad and Dilshad were sitting with Ghafoor now. They were discussing about there wedding but Asad was not worried about that, he was feeling like something bad is going to happen. He wanted to see Zoya to make sure she was fine. He looked at Dilshad she was talking to her father and Hashim. Everything was going good than why wasn't he feeling good ?
He saw Zoya entering the room with Aisha. He was happy to see her smiling. Atleast she was fine than what was annoying him ?
'Assalam O Alaikum.' Zoya said to them. He saw someone else entering after her.
'Assalam O Alaikum.' Sameerah said and than stopped where she was.
He looked at her. He can never forget that face. She is the one who destroyed his life, how can he forget her. His hands clenched as he faced his enemy. He always wanted to meet her once in his life but not here. He looked at her shocked face and stood up. He was burning with anger, he wanted to kill her.
'What are you doing here ?' Sameerah came out of shock as soon as he stood up. Dilshad looked at both of them.
'WaoO Zoya, so this is your choice ?' Sameerah said but Asad was not listening to her. He was walking towards her.
'Zoya, he is Ayaan's brother, he is the one who tried to rape me.' Sameerah shouted. Zoya and Hashim were shocked at that. Zoya looked at Asad.
Asad was standing infront of them now. He looked at Sameerah and slapped her like never before.
