Let me try explaining my POV , once again .
I am not saying what Asad did is the right thing to do.
Had I been in Zoya 's place...I would just tell Asad and Ayaan.. Even if I thought that I was married to Ayaan , I would say ... I don't give a damn. I will get it annulled and good bye both of you... Am back to Manhattan ! But that's me a relatively selfish person. If I heard Imran and Tanveer's conversation , I would rather be more interested in my marriage than finding out the truth, I would definitely tell Asad...
And then let him decide... But then that's my character not Zoya's.
Zoya's character has been built as a selfless... Impulsive .. Pure at heart girl.
She is devoid of very essential negative female traits ...
If I were zoya I will never in a million years fall in love with people like Asad ...
They are very complicated and they spell trouble... Life with them is never easy.
But look at it from a Dramatic angle... They all are in character...
Agreeed Asad had no right to drag her... But He is doing what He thinks is the right thing.
Which most certainly he will regret later.
I can understand his POV also. They... All three of them think that zoya and Ayaan are married.
Right now Asad and Ayaan think that saving Najma's life is the most important thing.
Which I can totally understand and appreciate.
This is happening because Zoya is needed in SM to take the story forward.
These are two good guys. Ayaan and Asad , but in real life ... We as females have to deal with worse situations.
Ideally Asad should not do it. First mistake was Najma's Nikah. My sister once liked a guy and that guy also liked her... My father said that it's ok.. Nice guy .. But you will never be happy in that family because of the guy's mother.. And made her understand. And she understood. She got married to another guy and is very happy (till now at least ).
Then Nikhat should be dealt with the way Humeira was dealth with . should go to her with poison and say ... Now kill yourself and then a lecture type.
Haeena Bi should be ostracized from Bhopal.
But , sadly in reality... You sometimes have no choice...
Try to understand how each one of them are in their character. They are flawed . That s what Gul is trying to show here.
In retrospect and as an outsider .. We can do things differently. But in a real world most of us do things which we regret later.
What is happening is good drama...
And better is to come !

I get your point amber but can a girl really be so selfless that she has no self esteem at all...had i been in that situation my self respect would have been shattered and if i was willing to make a sacrifice for Nikhat's life i would still be angry with asad which i found missing...she was still clinging to him and that just irked me...may be she will be angry with asad in future episodes and i will wait to see that but from here on i want to see an angry zoya and if i don't i will be really disappointed...so my problem is not just how asad treated zoya but also how zoya allowed herself to be treated and accept it or not that was a major dent in that relationship and they will have to work their asses off to correct what has been wronged...
and yes people are flawed but every action should not be defended because it is their character flaw...every person who mistreats his family must have some problems and character flaws but that doesn't mean i am supposed to understand and sympathize with him...

@Amber 👏 👏 Word, girl! I completely agree with you here. All the characters are flawed and thats what is making this drama so good! Yes - am enjoying this more than the cheesy romantic track and the hazaar mitwas!! Give me drama, passion and angst any day!

Of course better is to come!!

To answer your question... NO , I have never seen a girl or a woman who is so selfless. May be there are such people...but never had the opportunity to meet them . I myself am very selfish like I spend time on IF when I should be taking care of my family's needs, do the piles of pending laundry, I am not a TANU ,or a RAZIA or a HASEENA ... BUt neither am I a DILSHAD or ZOYA.
I am Amber . But had I been in Zoya's place that day .. Self esteem, self respect my foot. I would plead and beg Asad not to do that .. because I will realize that I did a mistake .. and at that point I would not know anything else... these are life changing in fact life shattering events.. You can't become a Durga or Kali at that time. But yes when the dust will settle...All of them will have a monologue and that would be awesome to watch.
Next day probably I will get the Nikah annulled and go back to NY. But at that point in time... , you have to cling to your pillar of strength.
Imagine a child who was scolded and hit by a parent for not going to school ... and then the parents drop him off at school .. the child clings to his parents... because He still knows that He is the safest in their arms...
Zoya is a child right now...very vulnerable because of her own deeds.
Think about it is basically her fault.. why did I act so impulsive and brattish that she destroyed so many lives.
Everybody here is sympathizing with ZOYA... but sadly she is the one though unknowingly is the reson.
Think about it that was Asad should be the one to be mad at Zoya. She always lands in trouble and along with her so many lives are put at risk. She never listens...
In fact in real life people no matter how much they are in love with a character like zoya.
stay away from her.
Because any day a wise enemy is better than a foolish friend.

See I am not disagreeing with you at all. I understand drama, I understand character flaws and I understand how each has its own importance in the current story. I am disagreeing at all.

My only problems are:
1. The visual of a pleading Zoya begging to not take her there. She verbalized her no and yet was not heard and being dragged out in front of a room full of people. If this were a sexual assualt case the NO would have had everyone up in arms. To me this is emotional assault. Again I understand its importance in drama, but just because it is needed does not mean it has to appeal to me.
2. The way the entire Nikhat issue has been dealt. Yes absolutely necessary for story development and taking this track ahead. BUT...to get where Gul wants to go this is not the only way. AND if this were the only way, they are sending out a very wrong impression to the small town folks who are a majority of the TRP viewers by glorifying attempted suicides to get what they want. Again this is offensive to my sensibilities...others have a choice to like it. I won't judge.😊

As a female it is offensive to me too. I should not be dragged . But Yaar Akdu chaiiyye to yeh sab bhi saath main free milega. Remember ASR. that character takes the cake in Domestic Abuse.
These larger than life self made business tycoons are usually like this. In Fact way harsher than this. It is not appealing to me , but this will define the future plots, so it is necessary evil !
Suicide is not the answer to anything.
I think she is not glorifying it.
Now Nikhat will have a fate worse than death.
People will see Nikhat suffering in Haseena Bi's house and hopefully Fathers , bothers , mothers will realize that marriage is worth it only if you are married to the right guy.
Girls will learn that its ok to be single and not married.
Actually I am liking the fact that Farhan is a negative character because that will hopefully make people realize that its very prudent to stay away from people like Haseena Bi's

Sorry to jump into the conversation. I fully agree with you that Zoya is dumb and there is no condoning her action of going running off without informing anyone or not calling for help or going mute now.

But she is not responsible for the events that followed because of Haseena Bi taking the opportunity to cause strife by calling off the rishta - whether it is Nikhat resorting to suicide or Ayaan asking for the nikaah naatak.
