Today's episode was VERY emotionally draining. I usually don't cry, but I couldn't help myself. The acting was just superb. You know these four (Karan, Vikrant, Surbhi, and Nikhat) are amazing when you can feel their character's emotions through them. They were so into the character that I even saw it in the SBS segment. Karan and Surbhi were so into their character that the whole scene even broke their hearts. Wow...just wow. One other reason I have always loved this show, the acting is just off the hook. I wanted to refrain myself from making a post till the week was over, but today's episode just did it for me. Karan and Surbhi were right, the amount of pain that was depicted even got to the actor/actresses themselves. All four of them, the way they broke. When Asad shouted and pushed Ayaan against the wall, my heart stopped. And then he held Ayaan's face, as if he was torn and broken. His own brother did this to him. He couldn't hit Ayaan so he hit the window. And Ayaan breaking down and crying..wow. The way Zoya was scared, and crying. I swear these three...could give Shahrukh Khan a run for his money, and I'm someone who is very criticizing of people's acting. It's really hard to impress me. And Nikhat, this was it for her, her breaking point, she's put up with so much and this was it for her. The way she was crying, gosh. If ratings go up, it will ONLY be because of how well the acting was done ( I honestly think that's the only reason they went up with the whole Ajmer and Tanveer thing).
While everyone is upset and disgusted with the brothers (which is completely understandable, even I'm not happy with the way things are being shown, but what's new) I just want to make a point about each of the characters. I'm pretty upset too, and I don't want to take anyone's side, but I feel for each of them.
I want to start off with the character who pissed me off the most, Shirin. I can understand that your daughter just tried to kill herself, but to put this on someone else is just ugh. It was YOUR son who made the mistake. Why should Asad have to suffer? Why should HE have to fix your son's mistake? This woman and her son take emotional blackmailing to a whole new level.
Zoya- I really did not want to feel sorry for her in this track, but damnit Gul. As bheegi said, Gul just HAS to change it all around and make her look like a bechari. I was disappointed in her as to why she didn't give Ayaan a good slap, but she was in such a state she couldn't say anything. Maybe because a part of her believed he was right? Maybe she felt guilted into it as well because of the whole Nikhat thing? Honestly that's the only reason I can see her agreeing to this whole thing and going to the SM house. In the end it's her decision though and no one elses.
Ayaan- Super super selfish, but what's new in that? You go to your brother to clean up your mess once again. And this time is worse than anything ever before. Although I felt like slapping the crap out of him, I could see things from his point of view for once. He was desperate...to save his sister's life, and he was in such a state where this was the only thing he could think of. Although I have no idea how this will make Haseena agree because she wants money, and in my opinion it will make things worse because she'll taunt them even more by saying "oh you guys are shameless taking away the other family's happiness" (not that she cares, but it's a way for her to get what she wants out of them). But at that point, this was the only thing on Ayaan's mind. He was saying whatever he had to make his brother agree.
Asad- Gul always seems to make this guy get the worst end of the stick and make people hate him in the end. I don't agree with what he's doing at all, but maybe it's easier for me to say that because I'm not in that position. I was rather disappointed than disgusted in him today, but at the same time I can somewhat understand. On one end he has the woman who he loves more than his life, like he told Ayaan this is someone who means more than his own life, and on the other, is his sister, who could end up doing something worse to herself. We saw this guy go through so many emotions in one episode. He was hurt, and betrayed, he was begging Zoya to tell him it wasn't true. And then we saw anger, but then we saw him broken. Ayaan broke him at that point. Asad was torn. Just like his mother, he took emotionally blackmailing to a whole new level. Ayaan KNOWS what Asad would do for his family. If something worse happens to Nikhat, Asad would have to live with this guilt for the rest of his life. He would never be able to live his married life happily. And Ayaan and his family would never let him live it down. He's backed into a corner. Of course, I do think he's an idiot to make such a huge sacrifice for people who have done nothing but insult him and his family, but at the same time, Nikhat has never done anything to him. He may be thinking that Nikhat never did anything to deserve any of this.
The precap really upset me and was heart breaking, but I want to wait till it plays out. I always like waiting before I say anything about anything. In the promo we saw Asad blind folding Zoya and telling her to trust him. Well this is where Asad's part in the whole thing comes in. I want to see where this goes. Every line that every character says in this show is for a reason, I've come to learn that now.
All in all, yeah this track sucks, and it's not right how they are showing anything, but when have they ever showed something the right way. Like I said, not taking sides, or condoning any of it, but seeing it from every single point of view.
