What Hurts The Most...
AHH! Just saw the SBS/SBB updates and yesterday's precap. I am sure we will get one heck of a scene between the three actors.
Remember, a few weeks ago, Asad had made a comment: Jo rishte ek baar toot jaate hain, unhein joda bhi jaaye tho daraar aa jaati hai
Asad and Zoya's relationship has already gone through one major break up and yes there were daraars' afterwards but eventually, both were able to heal these daraars' with time, forgiveness and above all, their immense love for each other.
A few weeks ago, we had a similar scene when Zoya found Asad, half naked, sleeping with her nemesis, Tanveer in a warehouse.
What was her reaction on seeing that heart-wrenching scene? She was deeply hurt. Her world had come to a standstill. Even the rain couldn't soothe the pain she felt at that moment. She screamed, became angry, broke down, said harsh things to Asad and didn't listen to his side of the story.
Later, she walked out of the house without informing anyone.
She was deeply hurt but so was Asad, so were her well-wishers like Dilshaad, Najma and Aapi.
Was that a rational thing to do? Of course not!
Was she in a state to think rationally? Not at all
Later, after a cool off period and after analyzing the situation based on Tanveer's actions and words, she realized what had actually happened. It was all an illusion, a mistake that had entrapped Asad for no fault of his (maybe his blind trust in Tanveer was partially responsible but we all agree, he didn't deserve such a harsh punishment)
Zoya made amends; came back and helped Asad through the crisis he had been forced into by one woman's evil actions.
It took them a while to heal that broken relationship but eventually, their love for each other was able to conquer that bitterness and heartbreak both of them had experienced because of that sexual assault on Asad.
As I have said before, Asad and Zoya's story will always be a mirror image of each other. Tables have turned and today, we have Zoya trapped in a situation that has completely shattered both of them again.
Yes, just like Asad, partially it was her fault that she land in that situation. If she had shared her concern with Asad and not ventured out all alone, this would have never happened. We all know, just like the staged SR, this nikaah is not real and invalid but right now there is an illusion of it being real (Ayaan and Zoya are as dazed and unsure as Asad was after the SR)
What is Asad's reaction on hearing this news? He is deeply hurt. His world has come to a standstill. Asad is a very passionate man and when he gets hurt, it rattles every cell of his body. Two people whom he loves more than himself have betrayed him, committed an action that he cannot fathom nor accept. Yes, he is going to scream, become angry, break down, break things, even say harsh things to Ayaan and Zoya and probably not listen to their side of the story.
Just like Zoya was a few months ago, at this moment he is incapable of thinking rationally. In that process, he is bound to make some irrational decisions that will hurt not only him, but his loved ones too. If the spoiler about him forcing Zoya to sign the nikaah papers is right, we know it's totally out of character for a man like Asad but can we blame him?
Is Nikhat the real reason behind his action? NO, it isn't the real reason IMO. She is an excuse but the real reason is his sense of betrayal, his anger, his pain that will result in an irrational way of thinking.
The end result- Asad, Zoya, Ayan, Humeira, Dilshad, Najma, the whole Siddiqui khaandaan will be shattered and rattled by this action but right now Asad can't see beyond his pain. He is human and that's how a lot of us react when we are deeply hurt.
Just like Zoya, he will also come around. He will realize his error. He will repent his action. His love for Zoya is so strong that just like Zoya came back, he will eventually help Zoya out of this messy situation.
A nikaah that is nonconsensual, invalid and that will hurt so many people in the short and long run needs to be annulled ASAP.
We don't know how it will all play out, but Ayaan-Zoya will not remain in this relationship for too long.
Asad and Zoya will get together for sure. This time, the daraars' are deeper and therefore, the healing time will be longer. Again, their love for each other will definitely heal those ridges and yes, there will always be scars but that's life, isn't it?
Who said life is a Yash Raj romance?
Scars from a loveless marriage that is broken can definitely heal over time but wounds from staying in a loveless marriage just get deeper and incurable with time.
If I were to choose the kind of scar I want to live with- I would go for the former.
