Assuming that Zoyaan nikaah will happen and Zoya will move to the SM, here is my POV on why and how one could explain this based on the character flaws in Zoya, Asad and Ayaan:

Zoya:

She is very very stubborn. We all saw that in the first episode.

She is very hung up about her beliefs. Her 'tah umar' comment right from episode one tells us about her philosophy on nikaah. She has reiterated this belief a thousand times during the course of the show.

How will this play out?

After the fake community nikaah, when Zoya and Ayaan do return to their respective homes, Zoya won't be able to forget what happened at the Moti masjid. She might try to talk to Asad and Ayaan but they might dismiss it as an invalid nikaah but knowing Zoya's nature, she will remain restless and continue to obsess over that incident.

She is adamant but in believing what is right, and this is wrong from her POV too I am sure. She is THE firsthand witness of Humaira's love and its declaration. Now she may not know Ayaan's feeling but know rest of three involved here including herself.

I like the word you used, fake here. That's how it should come out in end or she should prove it. Marriage means so much to her then she should know the right way it should be done period. Such things do happens in India which are scams, fooling innocent people.

Ayaan:

He is impulsive and loses his temper easily. When that happens, he can do anything- remember the car fire? Harsh words to Asad? Harsh words to Humeira? Inevitably, he feels sorry later but only after the damage is done.

How will this play out?

After dismissing the fake community nikaah, Ayaan wouldn't be bothered about it. Something might go wrong with Nikhat-Farhaan rishta. Will it break? Nikhat will be very very upset.

Seeing his sister's plight, he will take his anger out at Asad and his family. Why? Because Ayaan can be irrational. It's then, he will go to Zoya and ask her to formalize the nikaah (if the spoiler about two nikaahs is right) Remember SJ also mentioned about Ayaan marrying her for revenge?

Of course, Ayaan will repent later but only after the big damage has been done (Zoyaan real nikaah)

Ayaan is growing lately, being responsible of his own actions and respecting others feelings, wonder we should compare his previous self to new one? Does he give damn about Nikhat Farhan, he knows for sure why Nikhat said yes. Nikhat will worry about them more than herself as ever to be upset or mad.

Zoya said that in all fun and know that didnt mean anything, why would she dwell now? Ayaan is really her only male acquaintance other than Asad, now really who else she would have picked there? Why we should dwell so much on it?

Asad:

He is very very emotional and gets hurt deeply by people whom he loves the most. That's why he has never forgiven Rashid.

Asad doesn't forget and doesn't forgive. We have seen that time and again.

So, when Zoyaan nikaah does happen, our Asad mian turns a shade negative- angry, cold and ruthless. Ayaan and Zoya, the two dearest to him have betrayed him. He will not forget and not forgive that easily.

We know Gul is going the Zoyaan route but if we look at the story from the characterization POV, she is glorifying their flaws through this track.

Let's see how everything sorts out. At this point, I will wait and watch. Hopefully, there will be some logic and interesting tracks ahead. I would rather see a semi negative Asad than a moping one at this point.

But didn't Asad forgave and forgot Haseena and Imran easily recently? He changed from strict to super cool.

Did Zoya and Ayaan betrayed him? Didn't Zoya and him confessed love nth times before their wedding once again? So why mad at Zoya, doesn't he know her?

So you think Imran's face will be still hidden and Zoya will say nothing again? Why would she? She wanted to save Najma and that's why she did it all, then now what, she doesn't care😕

Well said Sangeeta... This seems good for the story to move forward... But the question is how this will be sorted out?... Being married to two brothers is too distasteful for me... And I do not want AsYa reconciliation after this... Though I would prefer an angry Asad than a mopping Asad, but he'll be destroyed to the point of no coming back... And loving someone, getting married to someone else, then reconciling with you love again is too cliched and sounds like Ekta series...
