Let The Cat Out Of The Bag ' A Reveal ' Forum 32 Find Out!

Forum 32 as usual has a fun tea time. Some Tea (coffee for some, of course), biscuits and whole lot of conversation. The biscuits may not be world's healthiest food but, the conversation definitely is. The conversation started when one of the team members had to look for some thingumajig (of course, it was important to her) in her bag. Yes, it had to be a woman. They say, never look into a woman's bag for you don't know what you may find ( and not all of it pleasant).

This naturally (of course, naturally as we are all TV buffs or so we believe) led to what does one find in our heroines' bag. For Geet Handa (Drashti Dhami) in Geet " Hui Sabse Parayi wasmirchi powder, painkiller, candle and matchsticks. And yes, there was a doll too, added by one elephant memory member (cheeky we called him for he felt so proud). Then came Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani) of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, who has Beir, Chanaa and of course, Chavanprash and most interestingly the mannat ki chaabi that Arnav had dropped. Next we find is Zoya Farooqui who besides having her gadgets like iPad, she has her music box (memory of her father) and her Abbu's old photo in her bag

Now, this discussion led to us letting the cat out of the bag (almost literally) from our pursesand men had to remove from their wallets. We got the usual mix; photos, make-up and such. One of them had a 500 Rupee note, memory of blessing from Mother after first salary. We had asked, "Itna hi milla?" and the answer was, while the rest was spent one was kept as memory. One had a childhood pic in long hair (and this was a man we are talking about) as a reminder to not grow his hair again (Really?). One had a pen, given as a gift by a teacher. And I had coins, foreign currency. Memory of travels done is what one of them quipped, but the real reason is that there was no way of exchanging loose change back to Rupee, so stay they did in my purse.

So what we found is that the bag has baggage in it. Beyond the physical things there is something attached to it, an emotion that could be fear. Like Geet feared darkness perhaps so she always kept a candle. Khushi never wanted to be hungry so kept beir? Though we think, she used it as a fodder when she wanted to do some deep thinking, *wink*. And Zoya needs an anchor in her life and music box gives her a sense of belonging, an identity.

What do you have in your bag that has a baggage attached to it? What do you keep in your wallet/bag? Let the cat out of the bag. But don't we always keep one physical reminder, a talisman that keeps us grounded to that memory?
