You have a very interesting perspective... I sometimes watch my kids sleepI guess romance lies in the eye of the beholder (or holder as the case might be :)
My idea of writing a romantic scene might be very different but as far as AsYa are concerned, I think I can explain their behavior..which I have also done on my post on late bloomers1. AsYa are indeed a very quirky couple and their way of doing/expressing is also very quirky. If one sees it in that context, I can see where they get their ideas2. Because of their developmental issues, they are in fact late bloomers in the world of love and romance so I can cut them some slack for their teenage like dreams3. As a parent, I can say that one of the most satisfying and peaceful experiences is to see your child sleep peacefully. That tells me their life is void of any miseries and they feel secure and safe. In Zoya's case, Asad has almost become a father figure to her. Yes, he is her fiancee too but her protector and guardian in life. I think that's the biggest significance of this scene. I might be wrong but I am not surprised given that Asad is first a protector and then anything else.

It was the furthest thing from cute as it could get. And I don't see how it had anything to do with Asad being concerned. It was silly and served no purpose to the narrative. We get it - they are in love. How many more OTT scenes does the audience have to suffer through till they stop?
@bold - Well you brought them up - and speaking of husbands and wives on other tv shows where they stare at each other incessantly - either I am thankfully not watching these shows or they do not exist. If it's the former I thank my lucky stars for that.
@blue - pretty sure I mentioned some adults too. Refer previous post. And I don't see why I should call you crazy. You enjoy this...that's your prerogative. I am not here to change your opinion about a tv show. I found it pathetic and I called out the writing - I don't see this as cute, romantic, friendly, unfriendly or otherwise. I found it to be a waste of time because the scene served no purpose. QH is not about AsYa and their many missed marriages or whatever their love story is right now and I would appreciate it if the show got to the main point already. Dances, dream sequences (for the millionth time), cheesy one-liners and staring constantly into each others eyes does not make for good tv!
@purple - pretty sure I didn't say they need to jump each others bones. And I don't really care if AsYa ever do it or not. It's not like Indian tv is adept to show such scenes anyway.

and it moves me... I love them and am their protector... But I do it for a whole 3 minutes...I stay up with them the whole night If they are sick...But whole night Z sleeping and A watching...Just imagine how your body moves when you sleep... sab kapde ooper neeche... drool... Snoring... I would never want to watch my would be sleep.. it is too risky !

Well...they can stare at each other all they want but frankly that is not romance nor is that chemistry. It's OTT nonsense that grates. I understand that teenagers, pre-teens and some adults find this cute but frankly I don't find this romantic. Husbands/boyfriends do not stare at their wives/girlfriends in real-life. Such a wish or action would land them in a mental asylum.
tell me about that ... grocery... bills... other mundane things...My kids school will start on 27th.. and then
I was just trying to get into Asad's head and understand him...I did write an OS on this scene too. Check it out if you get a chance.Of course, I have never stayed up all night watching my kids sleep...a few mins yes :) but this might be the only time Asad does it too. Shaadi ke baad aur kaam zyaada important ho jaate hain- grocery, naukri etc etc
