Hy lovely people
First of all Eid Mubarak, I'm so happy that eid is finally here
I love celebrating eid with family and friend every time
As we have ppl from around the world in this forum and most are Muslims too
I'm really curious to know how Muslims celebrate eid in different parts of the world
So tell me

Here is mine
I'm a Maldivian , how we celebrate eid is
firstly of course we go for eid prayer before going we will eat something sweet
Then sometimes after the eid prayer or even after noon prayer we splash water on eachother with colour and throw eachother in to the sea ( we have 99% ocean in my country so we dive in often) like holi we play in colour 😉
dhnwe dressup in the evening (. New cloths, makeup, jewellery , new shoes and etc.. OMG I'm so excited, already I have gone to the salon today as tomorrow I won't get time ) we go for outing visiting relatives, eating, dancing 🥳
At night guys play traditional sports girls go to watch their games 😳
I left the food part for the last, we will have a huge lunch as it will b the major meal
Biriyani chicken mutton beef ( I'm sorry vegitarians ) and desserts and drinks made from sweet milk yummy 😉
We usually celebrate for 3-4 days the same routine
live in Male' city so it's different in the more remote places and islands
They say its more fun there, I guess that's true too no traffic, no crowds you r free

So forum waloon share hw u celebrate eid
Pls say where u live

Eid Mubarak !!! Ummmwahhh
Love Hannu

Unfortunately I don't celebrate EID since I'm 100% Hindu but it doesn't mean I wouldn't participate in the community feast by visiting my Muslim friends
