One of my friends, AsadkiDiwani, made a very good point about Zoya not knowing that her dad is alive...

Totally agree with AsadkiDiwani--Zoya didn't even know that her father was alive until not too long ago and that's what brought her to India..and since she didn't even know that her father is alive (when she was 16) she wouldn't have wished for rukhsati or hath mangna..She must have left it blank as a 16 years old still in the process of wishing more wishes...and Now that she knows that her dad is alive, she wishes her abu to be at the wedding, and to give her away..and for that, Asad will have to find her dad first...BUT I think Zoya wouldn't tell Asad about the fifth wish and they will get married and later once Gaffaur bomb happens, rukhsati and all other scenerios will come into place!

I dont think 16 year old zoya know that her abbu is alive.she came to that her abbu is alive 2 or 3 year before.
But yes as every girl want that her to be husband ask her hand from his abbun take permission from abbu

Totally agree with you!!! As a dreamy 16 year old I doubt very much Zo would have thought to put the pressure of 'find my abbu' on her would be husband rather its probs as you predict that she wishes for him to ask for her hand in marriage from her father!!! & BTW did Zo even know back then that he was alive - I thought she only found out prior to coming to Bhopal from NY???!!!

Devika is right... I think once zoya said as soon she came to know that her father is alive she came to India..but her aapi and jeeju came to get her married . Then that must be right before the first nikaah arrangement with akram...
But at present even Asad to start the search ... First he must know that her father is alive... So lets see...

considering asad hates Gaffour and he's zoya's father, yep! I think, 5th wish is asking my father for my hand in marriage!

I think Zoya's 5th wish will be that her abbu should be present in her wedding and give her blessings... And this could be the reason for Gaffur to attend the Eid party thrown by Asad... Maybe we are heading for an AsYa separation yet again as Gaffur won't agree for AsYa's marriage or is it like he throwen the Eid party combined with their Valima...

One question, did Zoya see Gaffur's face at the orphanage? Would she accept her father knowing what he thinks of orphans or what sort of a person he is?
