Hey All 🤗

First of all apologies I haven't updated this story for a while but I will now. Quick recap because it has been a long while since I wrote chapter 5A , there are two more parts to chapter 5 of which I am now posting chapter 5B and probably post chapter 5C sometime in the coming weeks

Recap:

Chapter 1 dealt with Zoya's feelings, her memories of New York and her making plans for Asad's birthday and she enlisted the help of Ayaan, Dilshad and Najma. For the purposes of this story Najma is not married.

Chapter 2 dealt with Zoya's birthday breakfast treat and a flashback into the promises she made when she returned to Asad after the Tanveer fiasco. It ended on both of them leaving for the office whilst Dilshad and Najma were left to deal with the birthday preparations.

Chapter 3 revolved around the car drive to the office, Asad and Zoya's banter and Zoya leaving for the coffee house. Asad on the other hand progressed onto his office but was dumbstruck and heartbroken at the envelope and note Zoya had placed in his handkerchief.

Chapter 4 takes an eleven month leap into the future, Zoya doesn't 'exist' and Asad is heartbroken but one evening on his walk home from the office, in the relentless rain of the Monsoon, he sees what he perceives as Zoya at a bus stop but before he could get to her she is long gone.

Asad, not able to calm and collect his thoughts, runs home and takes the envelope and note out from his drawer, reads it a million times in desperation for some solace. He drifts off into sleep and he enters a flashback.

Chapter 5 A deals with the flashback mentioned in chapter 4. The flashback recollects his birthday and everything that transpired and gives you the details of her note and the birthday plans. So far chapter 5A narrates what happened in the office and what was in the note.

I am now posting chapter 5B which is a continuation of chapter 5A, so it deals with the next part of the flashback. Please give feedback so I can then tailor the story to your liking.
