what Bheegi has written is absolutely correct but it would have been more clear had she written.. chaand kahin bhi nahin dikha aaj raat, is liye kal chaand raat hai.. means moon was not sighted anywhere in the country on 29^th of Ramadan, so we have to fast tomorrow and obviously CR will be tomorrow too..

and the significance of CR is, we muslims celebrate Eid ul Fitr on 1^st of shawwal (10^th month of islamic calendar).. unlike the Gregorian calendar where new day is considered to begin at midnight, Islamic new day begins after maghrib (around 7-8 pm local time during summer).. so celebrating CR means celebrating the 1^st night of shawwal..

and here in pakistan.. every mall, bazaar becomes a CR bazaar.. so we prefer going to mall.. is tarha ke temporary CR bazaar yahan wohi log jaate hein jinhein dhakkey khaaney ka shauq hota hai..
