Sumaya

She walked confidently on the ramp,
with her head held high and a hint of mischief on her face.
She was enjoying those appreciative glances that were for her only.
She looked like princess,
simple yet elegant,
Humeira Siddiqui.

Meanwhile below the ramp and admist all stood someone admiring the pure beauty coming towards him...
He was so struck in awe, that he literaly fell when someone pull him to the backstage.
she unveiled her burkha...

"Mona!! Tum!! Yaaha kya karrahi ho?"
she gave him one of her ever-ready smiles.
"Haa Rabaart mai, Aur yaha mai nahaane thodi na aungi! Fashion show dekhne aayi hu! Tum bhi na!"
she scowled.
"Issi baat pe ek shayari hojaye... Arz kia h-"
he cut her off.
"Arz baadme karlena, mai jaa raha hu."
"Hey ruko ruko, wapas mat jao, wo principal tumhe dhoondh raha hai, mil gaye to Allah Miya ki Kasam! Wo tumhari biryani banake khajayega!"

"Par Humeira..."
he insisted with longing in his voice.
"I know Rabaart!! Wo bohot haseen lagrhi hai aur tumhe usse dekhna hai...
but u cant go!! "

"Par ye zyaakti hai Mona!!"
he grumbled childishly, and was trying to peep out thru the curtains.

"I know Rabaart!! Aisi zyaakti tumhare Bhaijan hamesha mere sath karte hai;"
she replied in mock understanding.
as if have gotten a brainwave he flicked his fingers.
"Mona darling! Tum na mujhe ye burkha deydo."
she raised an Eyebrow
"Are U mad Rabaart? Wo princi mere bhi piche para hai! Mai use dikhgayi na, to wo us Mr. Bhatwa-something ko bulwakar mujhe wapas NewYork deport karwa dega!"
He still made a puppy face.
"Please Mona? Tumhe Bhaijan k six packs ki kasam! Pileej Zoya bhabi!"

now she had to bend"
She took off the Burka & thrust it to him.
she scowled & he grinned
"Hate you Rabaart!"
"love ya bhaaabi!!"
he teased, n with that he bounced off to Ladylove.
leaving Zoya shaking her head at him
a smile on her lips
She liked it when Ayaan teased her by calling bhabi.

her eyes fell on the corridor,
the Principal of the college was heading her way,
She fled for dear life.

She walked to the further-most corner of the stage,
displayed her lehanga,
bowed and walked back grace fully,
earning another shower of claps...
all the while her eyes were searching for Ayaan.

"Ayaan kaha gaye? Abhi to yahi they!" she thought to herself.
after a while she saw a woman in Burkha stand at Ayaan's place,
Maybe the one who had motivated her.
After a while the winner of the show was to be declared.
"Ya Allah!! Ham bhale hi na jeete, par ek Ayaan k muh se hamari nikalwa dijega plz" she prayed.
The announcer came up to the stage & called up all the participants.

"Ladies & gentleman! Hamare iss saal ki winner hai...
Humeira Siddiqui!!"
everyone clapped, & Nikhat, Nuzhat & all her friends cheered!
her eyes which had been shut tight, flew open!
She walked up to the stage n recieved the trophy!
She was elated.

after the functioned ended,
She hugged her cousins and friends and went to the 'Burkha-posh' woman,
assuming 'Her' to be Zoya!
Little did she know WHO was inside.
