Hello Folks!
Back with a new story. I am hoping to write my account of how Asad and Zoya beat the troubles that have been dumped on them by Tannu...can't stand her...and I sooo want the old Asya back! Have not proofed it Please bear witlh the the typo's. Comments really welcome!
Through our tears
A bare torso, an arm across the torso and clueless Asad Ahmad Khan. That was how Zoya found him on the evening that they were meant to become a couple. His family was searching for him fearing the worst when he had not reached on time for his now Asli " Nikkah". Asad made two errors that day trusting the one he could not trust and trusting his eyes and heart instead of his logic. It was unsual for Asad to trust anything other than his logic - even Zoya called him heartless but today concern for his friend blinded him. And he paid for it with more than his life.
He managed to hurt everyone he loved in those fateful 30 minutes. The time it took him to fall from grace. He lost his mother's love and care, Najma's respect and his love Zoya flew out of his life. A tearful Zoya burst in agony as she confessed her love for him and followed that up with regret that she chose to love a man "like him". " Mr.Khan hai na wo sab kuch teek kar denge!" she once believed and now after seeing what she did she did not even give him a chance to talk.
Asad smiled wryly 2 weeks after the nightmare. She had indeed become like him dismissing him without giving him a word edgewise. Not that she was not there he saw her everywhere - eating Pizza on their table, walking around the house, bursting through doors when least expected.
Zoya too saw him everywhere - at the gates of the Orphanage she served in, the prayer hall, leaning of the wall but the trouble was she saw more often sprawled on the makeshift dingy bed. As she was walking dusting the beds for the children through all her tears and gut wrenching pain - it dawned on her OCD Mr.Khan and a dingy bed...that did not seem right!
Asad could barely face his Ammi. Najma's hand that wiped his tears was the only kind touch he had felt in this past fortnight. " Bewafaai tumhe virasat me milee hai Asad" his mother had rued. Shaayad he told himself " mein Apni Abbu jaise nahin jeeyunga! Galthi ho gayi to usko sudhhar bhi saktha hoon". Tannu dost thi par Zoya meri Zindagi..main uske bina nahin jeeyunga..." he promised himself.
He tidied his room, dusted his couch, threw out all that was strewn on the floor, went over for a shave and a shower. Walked into his kitchen. The clean shaven, neatly turned out Asad Ahmed Khan looked like his Ammi's Asad. He walked out of the house radiating power and subdued anger. His eyes were blazing - he would get the love of his life back and get happiness back in their lives. He would bring his Zoya back. Stand judged by her alone and the move ahead with life as she chose!.
