Story continued... Part 8...
So Asad proposes to marry Zoya again... and Zoya nods and accepts while everyone looks with sheer happiness... Dilshad comes forward and hugs Zoya while Aapi asks Asad to forgive her for her harsh words for him. She says Zoya simply cannot find someone better than him and that the resilience, courage and love he's shown in the last few days for her, she's been completely won over! Najma is also very happy and goes and hugs her Bhaijaan. She is happy that he went looking for Zoya and that now Tanveer is out of their lives for good and all the misunderstandings have been resolved. Dilshad says everyone now needs to have breakfast as after a rough few days, things are now looking better and she's sure everyone's appetite is screaming out for food! Everyone has a laugh and sits on the table while Zoya and Najma serve food.
Zoya tidies up Asad's part of the table and serves him food while Asad looks at her and smiles. It reminds them both of the old days when Zoya used to give weird looks at Asad's prim and proper behaviour, esp. with wanting everything in its clean, rightful place on the table and elsewhere in the house.
While at the table, Dilshad mentions that she will once again call their Maulvi and get another date for their Nikaah. And this time, nothing will stop from Asad and Zoya reuniting!
Asad: Ji Ammi, lekin main chahta hu ki Nikaah should be a small affair... you know, a private function... agar Ms Farooqi ko manzoor ho to... (and looks at Zoya)
Zoya: Ji Phoopi, Mr Khan bilkul theek keh rahe hai, waise bhi us din ke baad log waise hi bahut baatein kar rahe honge... And anyway, the people who matter are already here, and smiles!
Dilshad is happy to hear this.
Dilshad: Toh theek hai, nikaah par hum bahut hi kam logo ko dawat denge, lekin haa, main dawat-e-walima par sabko bulana chahungi...
Everyone agrees. Aapi says they don't have many relatives here anyway, so there's no issues from her side, she is happy with whatever Dilshad decides.
After having breakfast, Aapi asks Zoya if she wants to stay or go with her and Zoya gets caught in a trap where she doesn't know what to do. On one hand, she doesn't want to leave as she's gotten so comfortable in this house, but on the other hand she feels she should now go live with her Aapi as after her marriage, Aapi will go away and she will come to his house forever. So she says she will pack her stuff and be right back. Asad is surprised to hear this.
Zoya goes to her room and starts to pack her stuff. Asad follows...
Asad: Ms Farooqi... aap ja rahi hai, aab wapas kab ayengi?
Zoya: (turns around... looks at his eyes) Yes Mr Khan! (sees a dull Asad looking down with a drop of sadness and breaks into her shayari) Mr Khan aap kyun karte hai worry, Mr Khan aap kyun karte hai worry, shaadi karke i'll be here, so why the need to hurry? Shukriya shukriya..
Asad: (is obviously not impressed...) Zoya...
Zoya: Yes Mr Khan...
Asad thinks Zoya is beyond hope when she gets into her senseless shayaris, so turns around and starts walking but Zoya stops him...
Zoya: Mr Khan... (Asad turns around and looks at her... while Zoya comes close to him...) Mujhe pata hai aap mujhse nahi kahenge, but I know you'll miss me Mr Khan... And I'll miss you too Mr Khan...
Asad looks at her and smiles and then goes up to her table and Zoya notices him picking something up... He comes back and asks Zoya for her hand... and then he ties the red holy bracelet around her wrist... Zoya remembers the time when he first tied it around her arm as a symbol of his love and trust! She then looks at him and says...
Zoya: Is pyaar aur bharose ko kabhi tutne mat dijiyega Mr Khan...
And as Asad looks into her eyes, both get dreamy and come close to one another and embrace in their first ever passionate romantic hug, where both of them feel love butterflies fluttering away in their stomachs, and an overwhelming sensation of love and joy taking over their hearts... their minds not wanting to let go of one another and them wanting to hold this moment forever...
Zoya: Ab mujhe jaane dijiye Mr Khan...
And Asad slowly pulls himself away from her, both share a moment of awkwardness and both try to reach for Zoya's bags, and while Asad's hand lands on Zoya's clutching the handle of the bag, they both look at one another (Mitwa tunes plays in the background) and then Zoya lets go and Asad brings the bags out.
Dilshad tells Zoya that she will miss her chirpiness in the house but is glad that soon she will come to their house forever. Najma also says she will miss Zoya but couldn't have asked for a better Babhi for his Bhaijaan, and that she is super excited for the time when she will come to their house forever! Zoya too says she will miss them a lot and wishes she wasn't going. Asad thinks to himself if she really wishes to not go, then why is she! Zoya again says she will miss everyone, and especially the person who used to scold her the most... and slowly looks at Asad... Asad looks at her and then faintly smiles...
Dilshad: Ha bhai, ab to tum sirf Asad ko hi miss karogi, hamari to yaad tumhe ayegi nahi...
Zoya: Nahi Phoopi...
Dilshad: What nai... main sab janti hu... aur Asad ko dekho, aise muh phula ke khada hai jaise tum New York wapas ja rahi ho... (looks at Asad and says) Are baba, Zoya Bhopal main hi apne Aapi ke ghar jaa rahi hai... tum jab chaho usse mil sakte ho... main nahi rokungi... (and starts laughing...)
Asad: (gets embarassed and looks down...) Ammi!...
Aapi: (hugs Dilshad and says...) chaliye... ab hum nikalte hain... ab to aana jaana laga rahega... and looks at Asad and smiles!
On the way to their house, Zoya gets lost in Asad's thoughts meanwhile Asad thinks he now needs to get back to work!!
