Fascination to show rape scenes?

We always hear about girls getting raped in India and it is disgusting. There was a time period in Indian movies when they used to show elaborate rapes in name of storyline. It was their way of creating sexual scenes. I still remember a raj babbar and pad mini kohlapuri movie. I feel sad that in India we are so sexually inhibited that the movie makers and tv producers use rape as means to excite people.

They showed a semiconscious asad being raped by his best friend but there were people on this forum drooling over his abs. Maybe shows like QH help desensitize people about rape. In QH it was first such sexually explicit scene and it was a rape scene. I don't know why but I feel very disappointed in this tv producer. As much as I like Asya I will find it very hard to see them married and have romantic songs around the trees without clarifying the cause and effect of as ads rape.

Agree. I just do not like the whole idea of using the "lets drug him, remove his shirt, drool all over him, sleep next to him and wham! he's my baby daddy" theory at all. At times this show makes me feel they are turning back the clock while claiming to have created progressive characters. Be it with Razia's dialogues, Tanveer's threats or Hasina Bi's colour obsession, I cringe each time thinking this may affect someone's thought process in real life.

I absolutely agree with you. The scene was deliberately made to look sensuous. No matter how many people detest the idea or rape or Tanveer doing such things with Asad, many did enjoy the sight of a girl undressing Asad. 🤢

If the director/producer had to show a rape, they could skip the details at least, which they didn't.

It might be proved later that nothing happened between them at all, but still you can't justify such act on TV screen.

It was made to look like a rape, and for the moment most of the viewers accepted it as a rape.

I really didn't accept this from QH.

Agree I am still waiting for Nikhat to Shut up haseena bi. Haseena bi putting a shade card next to nikhats face without repercussions must have been so hard to watch to most Indian viewers. Let's face it we are brown people and not white people.
