your right. sometimes the CV's come up with such cheep and clieched gimmics. its unbeliable stupid.
serials like Balika Vadhu, has some real realist contents along with good social messages. even when bad thinks happen to people, the let you reflect on it. and provide solutions or logic that one can apply in their own life it untoward incidents happen.
Qubool hai was fresh, and i liked the character of Asad because of he is a social responsible person, who does not even shy away from reporting his fathers crime. or advise his brother to own up to his bad deed of setting a car on fire.
but where the show Asad as a sensible and responsible man. he falls into a stupid trap set by Tanveer. now will he just forgive her or will he be forced to marry her. or will he just go all devdas on us.
i mean what is the social message. is it that every human being is fallable. and can make mistakes, that we all know right
or is that some minds are so criminaly advanced that nothing can ditter them, that they have no fear what so ever of Law or god and continue with their missdeeds in front of everybody's nose. and no one can stop them no matter what.
the things that Razia and Tanveer do are outright criminal and they should be jailed for life. you dont alow the walk free on the streets. what sort of message it the serial giving to the youngsters that they can do such things and get away with it.
we have Gumara on chanal V where kids are cautioned about such stuff. druging a person and violating him/her is rape and a punishable offence. just a few months back the whole nation was reeling undre the rape case in Delhi. the rally's went on for days. people lost their lives and the whole world was shaken by it.
and here serial makers use such tatic as gimmicks to create drama, is in bad tast. if they wanted to stop the wedding there were hundred ways to do it. but no the serial people have to use the cheepest and most shamefull method.
Gul Khan this gimmic was in bad tast, the character acting was awesome but the method used to create this drama was truly god aweful. and i cant condone it. i truly hated the 20th and 21st june episodes.

Usually a silent observer, conscious that this is only a show based on fiction, often amused by the passion that QH brings up in viewers, and always trying to understand the CVs motives, today I feel compelled to join in the discontent and disgust that most viewers experienced today. I had stopped watching Indian TV serials a long time ago, until QH caught my attention recently by its freshness, but today's episode just killed it for me.

A lot can be said but I'll just mention that today's episode was more like an Ekta Kapoor serial with its typical low and cheap drama where twists are added only to prolong the serial or to make it overdramatic beyond reason; was this necessary in QH? If the wedding had taken place followed by the Tanveer trap, and Zoya running away to Ajmer, since she had promised Tanveer that she would leave should she succeed in seducing Asad on the SR; it would have made much more sense, and also honored Dilshad's challenge.

The CV's seem to be ignoring Dilshad's 10 days challenge, despite her recent flashback of the challenge, which was the main reason behind the AsYa Nikaah; does she deserve to lose face in front of Rasheed's family, and the guests that respect her and her family, including the (strict) Qazi ---that too publicly!!?? Come on now Gul Khan!! Unless the Nikaah happens somehow tomorrow, there is no way this disgrace will ever be erased from Asad and his family. Based on the plot so far, did they really deserve this, at the hands of Tanveer and Razia who had already done enough damage to the family?

While I understand the CV's probably wanted to create a super sensational twist, how could they indulge in such cheap drama while ignoring the negative effects that the twist of events are (logically) bound to have on ALL the protagonists is beyond my understanding, and in my opinion unnecessary. A separation track would have been welcome but the timing was not appropriate at all!

This Nikaah was supposed to be the icing on the cake---the culmination of a series of celebrations ---that Dilshad proudly and joyfully held for her son, but the CV's just ruined it all today, first by the whole tasteless wedding set up ---uncoordinated costumes, make-up and so forth--- which were nothing like the much classier and more elegant celebrations preceding the wedding, and now by publicly disgracing Asad and his family on a day like this when all relatives and friends were gathered waiting for the Dulha that never came because he chose to go save Tanveer's life on his own! Is there something called the police in India?

As it is, Asad's character, originally a strong and intelligent yet not trusting guy, over-protective of his family, is now been portrayed as a brainless idiot. How does he go from Asad the lion to being this gullible and so overly trusting towards Tanveer, a childhood friend that he had lost all contact with for years, despite all her lies and the clues that should (logically) be pointing to Tanveer's dishonesty? Could he at least silently investigate? The Tanveer plot is simply assassinating his character!! I am sure and certain they are getting away with it due to KSG's already established popularity!!

Having said this, the oh-so-timely and hard-to-believe coincidences in this episode were way too unrealistic and unintelligent by QH standards, and absolutely unsuited to a director/Writer of Gul Khan's caliber. It also appeared like fate was siding with evil all the way today, especially after Zoya's resolution to make it work against all odds, and Asad's conviction that nothing can separate them, not even destiny.

Besides, when have you seen a Dulha going to the wedding venue alone? Had Asad gone with somebody else, wouldn't Tanveer's well-prepared plan have flopped? How could she be sure that he would be going alone for her plan to succeed?

By the way, what happened to the wedding planner and the sensational entry that she was planning fpr the Dulha at the Nikaah? True that we the viewers allow for technical glitches here and there: (Zoya's mehendi-free hands being one of them in yesterday's episode, Jiju's absence from the Nikaah being another, and many more') but to what extent, and for how long will the viewers allow such a test of their intelligence?

I wonder if Gul Khan is entangled in her own twists and turns, such that she is now throwing out any new move just to move the plot and ignoring previous important ones. I'm afraid if this continues, she might ruin it altogether, which would be a shame because QH started off as a unique serial that had the potential of setting the path for a much higher quality show than what we are used to see on Indian TV. Just because we the viewers have been given cheap, low-quality serial plots for the longest time, does not mean that this should continue!

No wonder QH's TRP is going down, and if Gul Khan is not careful she will lose not only viewers, but also their hard-earned respect, and that will be much harder to earn back, just like Zoya's loss of trust in Mr Khan, and the Khan's reputation in QH.

Gul Khan, you've got quite a challenging task awaiting you...well that's of course if you care about the quality of your show, your viewers, and your own reputation as one of the best Writer/Director of Indian television.

Exactly. Can't agree more on many of your points.
But do not think the TRPs are going to go down too low or it is going to affect the show to any significant extent. Remember, many might be watching the show just for the lead actor(s)?!!

Now, after today's episode, I guess, there is no need to even read the updates. I have stopped watching it already. Don't you all think this is the height of things that any sensible viewer can gulp down?

@suman_sa
I guess we'll find out after they decide what to do with Tanveer how foolish they are or think that we are...I guess the show has definitely become predictable to the extent that it is sure to contain illogical sequences, yet it is also unpredictable in the sense that we just don't know to what extent they will test our intelligence ...and expect us to swallow their nonsense!

Nice post...Agree with you all...

If she wanted TRPs and etc...She chould something else...there was no need to do this...I can't understand how the fact that Nikaah didn't happen can increase TRPs...?? and did it...??

How can they do this to us...?? how can they think we will be okey if they will ruin Asad's character...?? 🤬

As a creative person, as a writer I don't think so someone should let Rubbishs like TRPs effect her writing or her story...then why the hell she is doing that..??

I'm thinking there are 2 ways of watching this show: either we accept that we'll never understand their logic, or should I say lack thereof, and just enjoy it superficially...OR we keep fighting a lost battle with the hope that things will change as a result.

Either way we go, the show is ruined...!! Such a shame for a show that has so much potential...:(
