Dilshaad: 🤗 I want to hug this mom and mom in law. The Dilshaad you have penned is so dignified, graceful and above all, wise. Her relationship with her adult kids is one I envy. She let's them be and yet is there to guide them and nudge them. Her relation with Asad, she is his strength, his sounding board. I loved her visit to his office. She does not have to spell it out to him, she indicates and he deduces. I am big big big fan of conversations that have the unsaid, the words that are understood, the connection someone has with another person that they get it how it is. And you do this absolutely brilliantly. You have done this before in your other stories, I am in love with how well you nail the subtlety, always. 👏
And then with Zoe, she has lunch with her, broaches the subject, and then makes sure she had her say. She let Zoe be. She is both sense and sensibility in this family.
The chapter ends with her smile, and I was 😃

Asad: The passionate man, he loves, cares and gives with all his being. Everything. When he is confused, lost and are plagued with self doubts, his mother, his pillar, makes him feel like a child he was. 🤗 The foundation of your story is incredible Noe, it showed every bit in the office scene and the how you wrote it.

Najma: The friend who wants to help, who cares, with warmth and no judgements, don't we all wish we had one? That one person who will just be. 😊 The pizza that you want to eat but did not know you wanted it till you saw it. How mundane goes on and on when everything else is broken. What a brilliant sneaky part. Life goes on, even when everything is falling apart. And sometimes we need a glimpse of that to remind us that we have to live with the devastation.

Zoe: She had to talk to her aapi, even if it's going break her. and in between all of the breaking, the little voice is nagging, enough, now get up and get going. isn't this so real, right when you are indulging in all justified self pity when your brain decides to ask you to shut up? 😆
She looked into heart and found something so precious, Asad. Is it a fair trade off, her missing memories to finding her love again? I think she knew it then. 😃

And finally, the bedroom scene. I will say it is the best storytelling I have read from you so far.

exactly... this is how you connect the with the readers on an emotional level... the readers being able to relate to it. once we're able to relate to it we go through the same emotional turmoils the characters go through, the happiness, everything. and that is exactly how an author connects with his/her readers.
