Character Sketch
(I'm not using pictures -- takes too long!)
Main Characters:
Zoya Farooqui: A beautiful, bubbly, super-sweet, happy-go-lucky and innocent young girl. Grew up in the USA, and was transferred to Bhopal, as a fashion designer. Same as on the show personality-wise, but more innocent. Wants to find her "Raj", from DDLJ, her own romantic hero. Has a fear of rejection, has never really been "loved". Mother and father died, lives with Aapi and Jeeju (like on the show). A little more like Khushi from IPKKND, loves sweets. Friends call her Zoe. (Gaffur is NOT her father.)
Asad Ahmed Khan: An extremely handsome, rich, and successful businessman. Quiet and smart, girls follow him wherever he goes. Has never really been in a relationship. He is very commited to his career, and his sister, Najma, and mother, Dilshad. Father, Rashid, left them before Najma was born (like in the show.) He's not sure about love, but is looking for a quiet, nice, traditional girl. He has a case of OCD.
Supporting Characters (They are pretty important):
Khushi Kumari Gupta: Grew up in the USA, like Zoya, but moved to Bhopal before her. A childhood friend of Zoya and Humaira. She is sophisticated, sassy, and stylish. She's the flirty one out of Zoya and Humaira. She's a little "boy-crazy", and is a diva. Boys follow her everywhere. She is a model. She is engaged to Arnav Singh Raizada. Friends call her Khush.
Humaira Siddiqui: Is getting married to Ayaan. She grew up in the US, but moved to Bhopal before Khushi and Zoya. She is the really smart, shy one out of the three. She can be sarcastic, and is somewhat a tomboy. She's really good at sports, and is an author. Friends call her Humie.
Ayaan Khan: Asad's good friend and cousin. He is naughty, immature, cheerful, and flirty. He loves Humaira and is getting married to her. (His father is NOT Rashid.)
Arnav Singh Raizada: Asad and Ayaan's good friend. He is extremely rich, good-looking, and successful. He is flirty, and used to be kind of a player. He is now engaged to Khushi.
Other Characters (Not really that important):
Najma Ahmed Khan: Asad's younger sister, and a friend of Zoya, when they met on a trip. She is chubby, shy, and adorable! Asad calls her Tamatar.
Dilshad Ahmed Khan: Asad's mother. She is sensible, warmhearted, and caring. She's a hardworking single mother.
Nikhat Qureshi: Ayaan's older sister, married to Imran (who is good!). There is no Haseena, they live separately from her. She is quiet, well-mannered, and shy.
Nuzat Khan: Ayaan's younger sister. She is smart, clever, outgoing, and naughty.
Shireen Khan: Ayaan's mother. She is slightly dim-witted and confused. She is a widow, Ayaan's father died.
Razia Siddiqui: Humaira's mother. She is warmhearted, and treats Zoya and Khushi like her own daughters. (She is good!)
Gaffur Siddiqui: Humaira's father. He is polite, quiet, and sticks to his principles. He also treats Zoya and Khushi like his own daughters.
NOTE: Ok, I didn't include Tanveer, but there is a possibility that she shows up later in the story. I'm not sure yet. Also, I may add a boy for Najma/Nuzat, but he won't be all that important anyways.
