He seems to trust tanveer too much. but it got me thinking.
it is a fact that women generally have better emotional intelligence than men (excluding shirin of course) and women also have a stronger intuition to be able to figure out if someone's intention is good or bad. men are not quite that intelligent in the emotional field and intuition. and sometimes even if they are aware something is wrong, their ego does not let them acknowledge that.
so how does this apply to asad?
- I think asad is intelligent but not emotionally intelligent.
- Zoya is in love with asad (thanks to tannu for finally pointing it out to her) and she loves dishad and najma. So naturally her instincts are to protect what's hers and now she knows the true nature of tannu. She has pointed it out to asad and he does not quite believe her. which is understandable - it's not as easy when he does not have prior suspicions that lead him to question tannu.
But Asad does listen- this is evident from previous episodes where dilshad told him that zoya may have a point since tannu had lied about her business, marriage. dilshad also informed him about not scolding zoya in public and the next few episodes - we see him controlling his anger and when he wanted to speak to zoya, he spoke to her in his room.
today, asad was not angry with zoya - compared to previous episodes in the past when he would actually shout or scold zoya if she questionned tannu's character. here, he seems quite calm.
i feel that maybe he is not as naive about tanveer. he may not know the full extent of tanveer's horrible character but there are suspicions within him. he just needs proof and unfortunately zoya is not able to show him solid proof of her bad character. lying about eye, business, marriage - that seems plausible since tanveer has painted herself as a victim of some sort of abuse.
but the real extent of her evilness is only now being revealed. zoya is not aware of the extent that tannu will go to and over the coming episodes, she will be subjected to all that ill-treatment.
the question now is whether asad will be able to realise the pain zoya will be going through and start piecing the puzzle together, so that he can then start believing about tannu.
the question is not about trust, the question is about the ability to put aside one's own beliefs about a friend and to overcome one's ego in admitting that he got it wrong!
