ASYA OS: My Nymph
"Tamater!"
Hearing Zoya's scream Dilshad and Najma came rushing to the living room.
"What happened Zoya? Is everything alright?", Najma asked.
"Tamater its raining outside.", Zoya exclaimed happily.
"I know Zoya", an exasperated Najma said.
"Then why are we still sitting inside the house? Come lets go out and dance."
"But Zoya bhaijaan will be home anytime now. He will start scolding us."
"Don't worry Tamater. He has a meeting today and he won't be back until 6 or 7"
Saying this Zoya dragged Dilshad and Najma to the terrace.
Asad entered the house in a very bad mood. He had to re-schedule an important meeting because his client could not make it due to the rain.
"Ammi? Najma?"
When no one answered him he got more irritated.
"Where is everyone? Ammi didn't say anything about going out today. Its raining heavily. I wonder where all of them disappeared to."
He moved towards his room when he heard the sound of laughter from above. He followed the sound to the terrace and the sight that greeted him made his heart skip a beat.
The three most important women in his life were dancing to their heart's content in the rain. He had not seen his ammi or tamater this happy while dancing in the rain. And Ms. Farooqui,no Mrs. Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan, his wife was singing and dancing along with them.
"Ahem", Asad cleared his throat to get their attention.
As soon as they heard him Dilshad and Najma stopped dancing and turned towards him in bewilderment. Zoya turned towards him once and ignoring him continued with her dance.
"Asad?"
"Bhaijaan?"
"Ammi, Najma what are you doing? Don't you know if you dance in the rain you'll catch a cold?"
"But Asad its been a long time we had this much fun. You can also join us if you want."
"Yes Mr. Khan you can join us. Its so much fun. You have to try this.", Zoya exclaimed.
"Nonsense. Three of you come inside right now.", Asad fumed.
"No Mr. Khan, we won't. If you can't join us don't spoil our fun.", Zoya declared.
Asad was frustrated with his wife. He saw her looking beautiful with her hair wet and her clothes sticking to her like second skin. She had her dimples in full display enjoying the rain. To say he was stunned would be an understatement. He was mesmerized by her beauty.
Dilshad looked at the way her son was looking at his wife. Deciding to give the young couple some privacy she silently led Najma downstairs. She hoped to God that at least today her akdu son will confess how he feels to his wife of three months.
Zoya looked at him staring at her as if he had never seen her before.
"Mr. Khan?"
On hearing her voice he recovered from his trance and said "Zoya come inside right now."
But Zoya had other plans. She wanted her akdu husband to enjoy the rain like her. She decided to play a prank on him. She turned towards him and faked slipping on the wet floor.
"Ouch!"
"Zoya!" Asad yelled and rushed to her ignoring the downpour. He was completely drenched now. He bent down to scoop her up in his arms when she collected water in her hands and splashed it at him. Zoya smiled up at him and stood up saying, " Mr. Khan you are drenched now. My plan worked."
Asad opened his mouth to yell at her for tricking him into coming into the rain when he saw her smiling triumphantly at her accomplishment. Water was flowing down her nose halting a her fuller lips.
The words got stuck at his throat as he stood staring at her.
Zoya's noticed where his glance went and her smile faltered.
"Mr. Khan?"
Asad took a step towards her and cupped her cheeks in his hands. Zoya trembled slightly at his touch. Asad leaned towards her looking into her eyes as if seeking permission. Zoya closed her eyes and leaned in slightly. Asad placed his lips on hers, kissing her slightly. Her soft mouth parted eagerly against his lips. With a groan Asad deepened the kiss.
With one hand still cupping her cheek, he let his other hand slide down to her tender waist, drawing imaginary patterns on top of her shirt. Zoya moaned slightly and slid her hands into his hair to bring him closer. They parted only when they were out of breath.
Zoya felt shy at her own response. Asad looked at his beautiful wife, her cheeks a flaming red. He realized that they were still standing in the rain and she was shivering from the cold wind. He gently lifted her into his arms and took her to their room. He took her to the bathroom and gently placed her inside the shower cubicle. He turned on the hot water and placed her under the water and turned around to leave. He decided to have one last look at her and realized his mistake.
There she was standing under the hot spray, her eyes closed and looking like a nymph. With a groan he entered the cubicle and pushed her to the wall and started kissing her passionately. Zoya was shocked at the sudden onslaught but slowly wound her arms around his neck and kissed him back with equal passion. Asad slowly slid his arms down her hand to her waist. He pulled her shirt out of its waistband and slid his fingers inside, caressing her soft skin there. Zoya let out a deep moan and pulled him closer. Still kissing her Asad picked her up and took her to the bedroom and placed her gently on the bed.
Zoya was momentarily shocked when her cold skin touched the soft mattress of the bed. What was she doing? This thing between them, is this right? What would Asad say in the morning? Will he regret it? It would kill her even if he regrets anything that is going to happen now, even for a second. Does he love her? Does he know what he is doing? This and thousand other questions crossed her mind while Asad was busy exploring her creamy neck. He gently raised his head and looked at her eyes before bending down to kiss her again.
In that second Zoya got the answer to all her questions. He may never have confessed his love for her verbally but his eyes always spoke what he felt. His eyes held love when he looked at her and Zoya realized that this thing between them was much more important than her insecurities. She would deal with their demons tomorrow, for they are sure to come out. But today, this moment belonged to them, their love for each other and nothing or no one could take it away.
