First of all, a thousand sorrys for forgetting you in the passion of AsyA kiss and the madness in the forum.😉
I missed so much, so it took a while to catch up and get into the groove. And all that effort went futile, as the only thing I can remember clearly now is the missed kiss.☺️
Asad Ahmed Khan- a man whose actions speak louder than his words. (His vocabulary has been woefully reduced to 'woh actually', nowadays, BTW. And when he gets past it, he speaks some language of gibberish that involves plates and spoons, so it can't be really considered as sensible conversation.😉😆)
When the senses of such a man is assaulted by the whole weight of the soft form of a certain Ms. Farooqui who has captivated his entire being, how would he react? Of course, the lover in him cannot be reined in any more when his body is on fire with desire. He moves in to complete himself, to complete her, until....😲.the director says cut!😆 Rather, his sense of lihaaz and tehzeeb and tameez forbids him from indulging in a passion he is supposed to keep under check.
He had come with a purpose- to confess his feelings to Zoya, and here he was, breaking all the rules he had carefully cultivated in years. Much as he wanted it, he could not complete this without doing away with the formalities. He was still not sure about Zoya's feelings. She seemed to respond to him most of the times, but he suspected she did not have 1/10 of the passion that burned him. That was partly the reason why it was so difficult to say ILU- what would her response be? What if she looked entirely surprised and started lecturing him on the differences between them? She had made it known plenty of times that he was not her idea of an ideal man, all his attempts to know her feelings had ended in ambiguous responses. Succumbing to his passion and kissing such a woman would amount to assaulting her. He was forcing himself up on her, and ZOYA DESERVED MUCH BETTER. He respected her.
It took Zoya hardly a second to register the situation. She had fallen straight in to the arms of her Prince Charming- her stubborn knight- and she had allowed herself to be lost in a terribly disturbing hug that had woken every sleeping nerve in her body. Heaven! She had not known these sensations before, and they held her in a wonderful stupor. She had imagined- no, she had sensed his body responding to her, and seen a glimpse of Asad Ahmed Khan turning a slave to his simmering passion. She had been a willing partner in this expedition, until the spell had been broken, and she had been gently turned over to the ground. He had hurriedly collected himself, and she was still struggling to catch her breath- WHAT WAS THAT!
Her wits came to her rescue as she recollected the question that had landed them in this situation. Quick! She had to hide her feelings, as well as find an excuse that could explain the rather questionable circumstances he had discovered her in. As always, the best way to tackle Asad Ahmed Khan was to fluster him with a question.
"Aise poochte hai, kya?" Seriously, you can't just take a woman by surprise while she is dangerously perched on a stool, causing her to fall. There is a supposed to be a certain quiet manner in which you approach such ladies- he should know!😆
Asad was tongue tied for a while. She was referring to the embrace and the kiss he had almost initiated! He could not bring himself to think about it; in fact, his throat was still dry from the fire that had consumed him. Even saying three words were painful for him, and here she was, accusing him of the very passion he had not been able to keep under control! There was no way he could defend himself, not when he had been so openly given. He tried to mumble that there had been no time to think of lihaaz, that it had happened all of a sudden, when he realised that there was no sense in conceding. He knew now, by experience- the only way to tackle Ms. Farooqui was to distract her with another question, especially when she was asking her 'basic' questions.
Thus Asad successfully steered the topic towards the encounter as it had started, both of them attempting to ignore what had transpired between them.
Merei pyari diary, main isse zyada kya likhungi?
Plate and spoon- they are destined for each other, they complete each other...but they love making a lot of noise!😲😆
Note: I hope I caught the dialogue properly. At first, I heard it as 'aise pesh aate hai Mr. Khan?' I was surprised with the directness of Zoya's question. Was she referring to the kiss(almost), and grilling him?
The second time, I heard it as 'aise poochte hai, Mr. Khan?'- that sounded more like a heroine who had plenty of things to hide- a little less romantic, but still in character. 😊I will watch it later, in the meantime, do tell me how you caught the dialogue. Either ways, I felt the essence of the scene remained the same. If you liked this post, please don't forget to grace the diary with your comments and likes. 😊
