Yes , yes, i know that its a song of unrequited yet eternal love and in a male voice. But today, it seems written for Zoe. Totally. Even though she is just as mentally compartmentalized as Asad ( at least Asad knows that he loves Zoe ) , with no conscious inkling that she is truly in love with jackass jahaanpanaah - but her heartbreak and disappointments are no different from any woman who is truly in love but alienated from her soulmate.
Today , you see her blush, smile, day-dream in love. The way she cradles and purrs over those 9 yards of Asad's blush pink love as though that cloth was a baby that needed a lullaby. The way she makes Asad a part of her fairytale where she is painted in his love and he loves her back. The way Asad catches her in an awkward but adorable dancing pose and she thinks of a whole bulletin of cute excuses that make even Asad smile. The way her pretty little face droops in disappointment as Asad gently but still hurtfully pulls her out of her dream. The way she puts the sari down on the bed as though letting go off her dream of marrying Asad. The way she , surprised at herself, in no control of what she is saying or thinking, asks him -" Agar ek din aise hi hamaara Nikaah ho gaya toh?" which meets with Asad's equally awkward but hopeful - "Haan, agar sacch mein ek din hamaara Nikaah ho gaya toh?"
The way she introspects and retrospects sitting in front of the mirror that she knows she is cheating Phoophi and Tamaatar , but her little inner voice that finds nothing wrong in being engaged to Asad , or going through all rituals with him under the 'falsehood' excuse - the inner Zoe sees, lives and breathes all this as real.
Asad is rooted in reality where he wants to stick to his decision that he cannot marry Zoe and do a Rashid Part-2 with her. Yes, he loves her and he will never love anyone except Zoe and the inner Asad too sees Zoe as his bride and his life partner but Little Asad ensures that the jackass-giri continues. So, he gently keeps telling her that all this is false - hoping that maybe this constant reminder will keep him in check and save Zoe from a heartbreak that is waiting to happen.
Zoe lives in her dreams and no, she has not stepped out of them. She has pulled Asad into her fairytale - made him the Prince of her Doll House where the Prince and the Princess are always together. She is going through all this as Asad's real fiancee , his real to-be-bride and his real soulmate . And somewhere , she wants to glue-stick Asad's mouth so that he can never tell her that all this is unreal. She marries him , becomes his wife ,makes a family with him and the Doll-House turns out to be exactly as it is designed.
Asad and the Khan Mansion are Zoe's dream and no, Zoe doesn't want this dream to end. That is why, the moment Asad slipped that ring on her finger , she smoothly transferred Asad into her world. Not going into his world of realism, fears , sadness and emotional warps - but pulling him where she is.
Asad is in the real world where he sees himself as ugly. Zoe is in the dreamworld where she sees herself and Asad as a one beautiful whole. Its a rarity that the real world and the dream world merge into one. But maybe AsYa are going to be that rarity.
For the rest, the AsYa dance was badly edited as usual - SBB/SBS did a better job and F-32 should release the official video. But still, i liked the shot of AsYa's nose nuzzle. Innocent and safe in a world that is not real.
Bouncer for today🤣:
Who do you think will succeed? Tanveer's evil intentions in breaking AsYa apart or Dilshoo's committed resolve to unite the two dimwits AsYa into holy matrimony? Or... will Tanveer do the famous 'Aakhri Daanv' by spilling all the beans after AsYa are married? Think. Think.Think. 😉
