Please read on. This is not a justification of Asad's actions, but a simple analysis of the characterisations that seem to be bang on.
Asad is typical Asad. He thinks only about himself. It is all about 'me', 'my family', 'my friend' and 'my feelings'.
Zoya is typical Zoya. It is all about everyone else, even if 'apni hadhe nazar hi nahi aate'.
Asad exploding: He falls back onbhis first impression on Zoya, every time he feels she has taken him for a ride. He simply thought she was playing a joke on him and the stupidity of the joke and the 'rishton ki na- kadarness' irked him.
Basically he is saying that she is irresponsible - BECAUSE THAT HURTS HIM A LOT. She is his. And when he calls her his, there is a level of maturity he expects from her. With all the history she has- esp the way she went to Ayan's engagement - he can never accept the consequences of that action, whatever her reasons were- because she ended up hurting too many people. That is that. Your intentions may have been good, or innocent(in this incident, where he thought she was playing an insensitive joke.)- but you are responsible for the consequences.
At the end of the day, Asad asks only one question: How could you do this to me? Aapko meri bhi kadar nahi hai? (Haiyeee...He expects her to treat him like a jahapanah...reserve your rubbish for everyone else, your best, you give it to me. I want your best!)
Zoya: Going by the precap, she once again tries to teach Mr. Khan 'The Power Of Reasoning'- a subject he woefully fails in again and again ...and again.😉
A good teacher never gives up...Zoya does not give up on her pet project either. She is out to make Mr. Khan a reasonable man for His sake, His Ammi's sake, His sister's sake and finally for the sake of the (UN?)lucky girl who is destined for him- which she suspects is ...ahem...ahem...
So in effect she is doing herself a favour...she is taming the shrew!😆
As for the dream sequence, going by the intensity, it must be Asad's...thats what KSG implied too- it is the same push n pull n tug of war...

And Zoya knows that right now he is so emotionally challenged that he will only sit and pine if she walks out on him...the trait is going to remain the same. So she foolishly tries to rectify the worst student she has come across...it is futile, Zoya. You have to go the Mangalpur way that Ankie screams for...and you will end up doing it, I guess, unknowingly much much later. Asad will have to lose you one day to realise your true worth. That day will come...when he will bawl and taer himself apart..the Mangalpuri Asad. There will be no going back after that.😉
On Tanveer: Probably she confesses to him that she did it out of her fear for doctors and goes on to burn the saree or whatever.😡
Let it be...Catalyst apni kaam kar rahi hai. She choked another dream sequence out of him, and probably the saugat will be given with better feelings than were intended before...who knows?😆
