The very first episode of Qubool Hai will probably be one of my all time top ten favey episodes of this show and true to form the song Asad sang was so very apt of his personality and his tribulations in life.

Our hero entered in true filmy style and was asking the Universe (through this song) who will be the one who can complete him and then came his answer draped in red wedding attire - our pyaari Zoya.

I love the fact that it all ties together and this song was just the perfect introduction to Asad's character and the foreshadow to his relationship with Zoya.

Agreed!

This one still fits him which is what I like the most. After all this time and all that has happened in Asad's life, he can sing the same song today and it still works 😃

Yes, from the very first moment he laid his eyes on her I knew they were going to be an epic couple and they have not disappointed at all!

I don't understand punjabi so initially I didn't understand the song at all, but now seeing the translation and I'm pretty awed seeing how much it describes Asad and Zoya, it's perfect. Especially when he sings about how the girls want him for his good looks, or for his faithfulness but no one wants him for his demons, except for the girl he loves. Which is so true, if we include Tanveer into this she only wants Asad because of his status and what it could do to her reputation, she doesn't give a damn about his dark past, but Zoya she's well and truly accepted all his demons.

Also "You shall weep in my memory" - OMFG, How many times have we actually seen Asad crying in her memory, the mangalpur episode and the latest airport fiasco.

And lets be honest no one indulges Mr Sher Khan's nakhra's more than his Miss Farooqui.
