Very apt song choice, Bheegi!
It is such a beautiful song, and would suit Asad and Zoya perfectly today (now, yesterday)! But, you know what this song also makes me feel scared because things had started unravelling in the movie after this song. This movie had really left me heartbroken.
Anyways, coming back to today's episode, Asad had become centre of Zoya's universe long time ago, but now it is same with Asad – his eyes, his ears, his attention follow Zoya. Zoya was right, "Mere woh bade possessive hain. Mujhe kahin akele jaane nahi dete."
When Zoya was telling Uzma and other girls about her engagement and later Asad confronted her about it, he had more issue about Zoya calling him a sharmillee bride and less with engagement talk. If only this guy is given some time, he will cross the bridge and agree to marry Zoya himself. Asad needs to think through things. He doesn't like to make decisions in haste. So, tomorrow when he will be angry, roaring lion who is going to be pushed in a corner by ammi, he is going to do something that he will regret later.
Glad that you wrote about Zoya's comeback to Asad's, "Yehan sab meri izzat karte hain." This girl always keeps her self-respect intact. Not only in this scenario, but also when those nosy ladies were being over-sympathetic about her not having parents. Generally, such characters easily become caricature of their original self (and often get on my nerves), but here writers are maintaining a fine balance. Her jokes, her teasing, her dhamkis - nothing goes overboard. When Asad seriously said to stop all these, she agreed quickly with just a small demand of a red rose.
One more thing about Zoya: for quite a while I have thought her to be clueless about her own feelings, and being far from realization. But, since last two episodes, I have come to believe that Zoya knows she loves Asad and has accepted it. And, she is also sure that Asad loves her. But, she is not sure about whether Asad will accept those feelings and whether their relationship will ever get a name and whether they will be together. Zoya is impulsive and not an introspective one like Asad, so we haven't got scenes where she is thinking through these things. In the bathroom scene, when she was asking if ring not coming out of her finger is a sign, now I interpret it as her asking for a sign that she and Asad are meant to be.
