This story takes place in New York, where the roles are reversed. Zoya is in charge, and Asad is the guest in a new country. Zoya does not like Asad because he never stopped her from being deported. This is a continuation of the current storyline with a time-lapse.

Chapter 1
Asad Ahmed Khan has never been one to be social. He could talk business, but that's about it. Right now he is standing at a launch party in New York City after finalizing a deal between Turner Corp. and Dilshad Constructions. He's been getting by with redirecting any conversation toward the new building they are creating on New York City skyline but now it's becoming a bit more difficult. Difficult because it's getting late and everyone has begun to drink. Honestly, what's wrong with these Americans? They are always finding an excuse to walk around with a bottle of beer.
He was just about to make his exit when an arm wraps around his shoulder, "Mr. Asad Khan, leaving so soon? The party has just started my friend," It was Mr. Roy Williams CEO of Turner Corp, a light-hearted man in his mid-fifties.
"Yes I was just leaving Mr. Williams. I have a long day tomorrow."
"Call me Roy, and there is no such think as a long day in New York City. Welcome to the city that never sleeps." He began to drag Asad away from the door and into the crowd. "Oh and before I forget. You are going to have to meet our head supervisor. Any questions or changes you would like to make are going to have to be run through her. Don't worry about it. She is fantastic! There's never been a single complaint about her. In fact most of the things you were skeptical about in the original design, she was the one to smooth them out. She is quite brilliant."
"Wow," said Asad, "I'm quite impressed I would love to meet Miss-"
"Mini. It's not her real name, but everyone calls her that. Mini package, but a big surprise. She earned the nickname"
"She sounds extraordinary," said Asad.
"Oh she is! If I see her I will definitely introduce you to her Asad." Roy waved to a waiter to bring him another drink.
"Would you like one?" said Roy.
"No thank you. I don't drink," said Asad.
"Really?" said Roy who looked completely astonished. After he was off set he began to look around and then yelled, "Mini! Mini! Come here would you? I want to introduce you to somebody."
Asad heard the clicking of heels coming in their direction and turned to look at his new colleague.
There she was, Zoya Farooqui, the face that haunted her dreams with her deep black eyes and free flying hair. She was standing right in front of him.
"You look gorgeous darling!" said Roy reaching over to give her a hug which she returned graciously. It was true. Zoya was standing in a knee length black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. Her dress was strapless, with only a simple chain hanging right below her collarbone. Her hair was pulled back in a bun at the nape of her her neck, she was holding a Chanel purse and was wearing bright red Jimmy Choos that were at least five inches high.
"Do you really think so Roy?" she said while spinning for him, "I couldn't decide what to wear for this function. It's been fantastically coordinated."
Asad could not stop staring at her. She was stunning. He couldn't believe that this was Zoya. But why is she wearing such revealing clothes? Has she no shame? How could she let so many people see her like this. Asad was outraged when she was turning for Roy so he could get a better look at her.
"Are you alright Asad?" said Roy, "Is it too hot in here cause you look a little flushed. Oh Mini! Meet Mr. Asad Khan, he is the CEO of Dilshad Constructions."
"Nice to meet you," Zoya held out her hand.
"Same here, I've heard so much about you," said Asad. He was hoping to ignite a reaction from her by acting as if they haven't met. A slightly extra pressure in her hand, or a flash of anger, pain, in her eyes, anything. But there was nothing. She held his gaze unblinkingly and his hand without betraying anything.
He heard Roy clear his throat and turned to look at him. "I understand that Mini is stunning, so don't get your hopes up so soon Asad. She's a tough fish to catch, believe me. If you don't, ask any eligible bachelor in this room." Asad didn't understand why Roy was saying this until he realized that he still hadn't let go of Zoya's hand, which he did instantly.
"Oh please Roy don't exaggerate. Not every boy, in here,"said Zoya.
"Mini, don't be so nave. They might not do anything about it, but their smitten with your looks. And the only reason they don't is because you intimidate them with your inferiority."
"Tut tut. I save that for the office. We are at a party right now," Zoya said.
"Yes, it's quite a party isn't it. Would you care for a dance?"Asad said this while grabbing her hand and pulling her aside, away from Roy. "What are you doing Zoya? Have you no shame?"
"Listen Mr. Khan, don't call me Zoya only the people I care about have permission to call me that. And it's you who has no shame, dragging a girl to a secluded corner to what, to degrade her. I have no time for this nonsense. I'm not a girl who needs a home or a protector anymore," she said this while yanking her hand out of his grasp. "I am no longer indebted to you that I must listen to your narrow minded views about society. So before you make the mistake of making such a remark, remember, you're a guest here. So behave as such."
