I just loved today's episode, and the way it was executed. Even the little scenes made the whole episode amazing. There's a few things I'd like to make a point on:
It's ironic how Zoya tried to find her father and he ended up dead whilst Ghafoor thinks of his daughter to be dead. And surprise, surprise, the woman behind this is the one and only Razia. I don't know whether Ghafoor knows Zainab was the woman Razia killed or not, at this point of time, I think of him as innocent. Sure, he's a hard-hearted man, and someone who aided Razia against Rashid but yet even in the flashbacks, you could see how much he adored his daughter. I don't know if anyone made this point but somehow I can't see any love between Ghafoor and Humera. It's like their relationship is just for namesake, he acknowledges her and for her, he is her Abu but there isn't anything more to it, but yet in that flashback you saw a strong love for Ghafoor and baby Zoya. And even when Zoya was crying in the graveyard, wanting to see her father, there is that cut in scene where it focuses on the oblivious Ghafoor. Ironic isn't it? Both father and daughter in the graveyard - where dead are buried - and yet consider each other to be dead.
As much as I didn't want Ayaan and Zoya to meet, I actually like their interaction. The whole Mona and Rabart alias is their thing. Just like 'Musibat' and 'Akdu' are Zoya and Asad's thing. But for Ayaan and Zoya, their interaction is plainly as a basis of being partners in crime whilst for Asad and Zoya, it's like opposites attract. Zoya is a musibat for Asad and Asad irritates Zoya hence why he is Akdu. Ayaan and Zoya helped each other, and now she gives Ayaan advice on his relationship with Humera. From what I think right now, that's all their relationship will be about - of friendship and partners especially linking with Asad. This is just a side note but remember the Holi day where Asad made Zoya and Ayaan become friends? Somehow I couldn't help but think of Asad being in the middle with Ayaan and Zoya on either side. Asad helped in joining Ayaan and Zoya's relationship but perhaps Ayaan and Zoya could help join Asad's relationship with Rashid and family?
I'm glad in the previous episode, Zoya remembered Humera at that catwalk. Sure, it was a small matter and on a different topic but I loved how that continued in today's episode where Zoya made Ayaan promise to never hurt Humera. Much like how an older sister wants the best for her younger sister. I really want Zoya and Humera to meet, but not with Razia knowing. Imagine if both of them find out they are half sisters together?
A big applause to Gul and team for the scene on Asad and Zoya placing the cloth over the grave and then both praying. It's small scenes like this that adds to the atmosphere and realism to the show (even if shows are quite unrealistic, aha). And okay, I'm not sure whether this is a valid point or not but from what I've heard from my family, when praying (and by that I mean doing Namaz or Salat), men and women are advised to be separated. Or at least, the woman should be behind the man. However when married (I THINK, not sure about this!) a man and woman can pray side by side if they wish. (Someone who knows the facts about this, please do correct me if I am wrong!). Even though Asad and Zoya were just making a du'a, I found it quite symbolic at how they both will be together, side by side. And to finish off, I'm glad there was no mitwa moments in that scene because it would have ruined the moment.
And PLUS, doesn't Tanveer's cat background track just annoy you? I dislike it so much! :/
