Well, well through out while reading I was thinking why not to teach Asad a lesson like what if he is in the verge of loosing zoya. I mean she is pregnant and there could be pregnancy complications and what not... But , off course after all the complication our zoya make him realize her importance and also comes out of these complications safely.. :P

God , I blabbered so much. This was just my sadness and anger coming out just because of this asad.. Don't mind. You must actually take your story the way you planned it because I loved reading it the way you narrated it.Do continue soon and pm me whenever you update.

I hope you will except this new reader with open arms although I pakaofied you a lot through my comment.. hehehe...

Part 12

''Mere kareeb aane se aapko dard ke alawa kuch nahi milega...kuch nahi...'' The words echoed in her mind like someone kept on pressing the replay button.

So finally, he left me and went away. Just because he thinks he'd hurt me !!?? No, thats not the truth. The truth is he doesn't want me in his life. He was always clear about it from the beginning itself. It was me who had let the false hopes rise.

She lifelessly walked towards the room and sat with a thud on the bed. She didn't know what to do now. Her only fear of lifetime had come true. The fear of abandonment ! She was always afraid that he might never accept her and leave her alone, like her mother, father and rest of the world did. Leave her all to herself, to suffer alone in this big bad world. She lost all the ability to think rationally.

She lied down silently on the bed curling up herself. Memories of the days since her wedding came back storming to her mind.

Every day she had tried to make their relation work; everyday she woke up with a new hope; everyday she thought she could make him realise her love for him. But slowly and steadily, he broke all her hopes.

Still, she did not give up. Then the little one came into their lives like a breeze of fresh air filling the Khan Mansion with happiness and she thought something could be done yet, but Alas ! He proved her wrong again.

Dilshad came to see if she was ok but did not say anything to her thinking that she was sleeping.

A few hours passed away and she was still lying in the same position. Her tears had long back dried up and there was nothing left to cry upon, she felt.

Picking herself up, she headed towards the cupboard and packed all her stuff in her suitcase. She made sure nothing of her was left behind, not even a single photo or accessory. She didn't want to leave any memory of hers in that room, like she had never lived there.

By the time she packed everything, it was morning. She asked the servant to shift her suitcase into the guest room and left the room giving it one last look.

In that one look, she took away all her memories with him in that room. Their silent talks, their cute fights, their night together and everything else !

He did not sleep that night. All he did was pace around the hotel room restlessly. ''How would she be... How she'd have reacted to my being away for a week... Was she feeling better... How is my baby...'' was all he kept pondering about.

Two days passed away with him being lost like this. He could not concentrate on any of his work, which wasn't even important at the first place. It was just the best excuse he could think of. An excuse to stay away from her, for her !

This was the first time he had stayed away from her after their nikaah. Not a single night had he spent without her since day of their marriage.

He hadn't realised until today how addicted he was to her. Just being near her gave him sukoon, not that they had sex every night or his physical needs remained unfulfilled today ! Nothing like that ! She was his soulmate and every part of him longed for her.

He so much wanted to go back to her. It took all his strength and patience to hold himself back. It was there, always in the back of his mind that he'd not be able to give her anything other than pain, hurt and disappointment. He'd leave her shattered and broken.

It wasn't easy for him to stay away from her, but he couldn't risk her and the baby's life just because his heart had decided to betray him for Zoya.

He had made up his mind to bear the pain himself than letting her suffer for a lifetime like his mother did. Least did he know what he was doing wasn't any better.

It was her third day in the guest room. Dilshad and Najma had tried her best to open up Zoya, but all her efforts proved futile. Nothing seemed to work. They could neither succeed sending her back to her room nor pursuade her to talk.

Zoya hadn't left the room since that day. Her food was brought to her time to time and she ate it silently for the baby's sake. She didn't talk to the baby anymore.

Her room was kept dark. She didn't let even the sunlight come in. Curtains were spread all over the windows, making it impossible fot the rays of light to enter. It was like she enjoyed the company of darkness and aloofness, which only seemed to consume her more and more every passing day.

Asad couldn't tolerate it anymore. Every minute without her was like a lifetime which didn't seem to pass away. He could not breathe in the air where she didn't reside.

Something inside him kept shouting that he should go back, that there was something definitely wrong with her. At first, he pushed aside the thoughts thinking it as his own will to run back to her. But now, it became impossible. Something inside him was breaking every passing minute, like someone was taking his soul out of him.

That was it ! He packed his bags and caught the next flight back to home, back to Zoya; least he knew there was no Zoya waiting for him !

good one...feel like smacking asad on the head for leaving zoya like that...now that zoya has shifted to the guest bedroom, i guess asad will get a taste of his own medicine of being closed off and uncommunicative...eagerly waiting for the next update...

Oh and one more thing. I love how you torture Asad. After whatever he did to Zoyaa, he truly deserves it. He needs to realise her importance. I am glad that you didnt let go off him so easily 👏

Hi,

First of all thanks for the pm. And, I was waiting for the update. The update was as usual perfect. And, at the same time a bit pain full. Its quite painful to see the ever chirpy girl like zoya in such a state. I wanted to just bash asad for his behavior hell , can't he even realize her condition. Heck she is pregnant. And, to top it why can't he realize his love for her. Stupid man!!! But, then at least he is returning. And, now m very much eager to see what happens next. What happens when he sees his zoya in such a state. Hell, he deserves that much. But , this poor soul I can't see her like this.
