That is a wonderful topic and so well written :) I agree with what you've written. Asad has grown with some beliefs that have gotten stronger with time and due to situations in life. He has seen his mother being cheated and left, even now from the way he sees it, Rashid was yet again emotionally using Dilshad to prove himself innocent. The first impression of Zoya was that she ran away from her own Nikah. He just keeps trying to save his heart from being broken yet again. Also he doesn't believe he has it in him to keep anyone happy and hence doesn't just want to fall in love and break those barriers around to make him weak and exposed. Obviously these are his beliefs, which maybe justified in his own view but may not be ultimately good for him and the people close to him. A transformation has to happen, so that he can live a happy life and so also the others around him. At the end of the day Asad is just harsh on the exterior, we all know the vulnerable man within.

If Asad can overlook his Ammi's tears for his "beliefs" and go against her, he can definitely overlook (or at least try to overlook--which obviously isn't working too well for him) his love for Zoya because of his "ideologies" of a perfect wife.
(Do I need to mention Asad ignoring Ayaan's tears?)

Very Nice Post! Asad can deffinately make one cry but he knows to wipe those tears in his own way.😊
