Not at all disappointed with today's episode. I actually loved it!!! It was different than typical Asad, Tanveer, and Zoya scenes that we have been watching lately. The story is moving forward..and in the right direction!
We know that Asad and Zoya are the main characters of the show but we have been reminded many times that Qubool Hai isn't just about Asad and Zoya. I am glad they didn't shove a mitwa moment today only because of the 100th episode. As much as we all wanted to watch something significant between Asad and Zoya today (because of the 100th episode), their mitwa moment may have looked a little out of place because of everything that's happening in the Khan household.
Trust me, I do want a ton of Asad Zoya mitwa moments but I want them when they are relevant and help the story and not forced just to keep the "romance" going.
My favorite part from today's episode was Asad's one line.."Ammi, ap kay ansoo mujhey kamzoor bana rehay hain."
I know that Asad's relationship with his mom is TOTALLY different than his relationship with Zoya but that particular line really stuck out to me for Asad's relationship with Zoya. Because at the end of the day..the similarity between Asad's relationship with his Ammi and Asad's relationship with Zoya is LOVE.
Asad loves his Ammi..he can't see her in tears..but he is making her cry..Asad knows he is the reason that his Ammi is crying..Ammi's tears are hurting him but he wants to stand by the truth, his beliefs, ideas, principles, doctrines, and rules!!!
Same goes for Asad's relationship with Zoya..we know that Asad loves Zoya..but he is the reason behind her tears..he makes her cry quite often (actually all the time these days)..he has seen Zoya cry in front of him because of him..and he pretends that it doesn't make any difference to him and goes on with yelling and shouting! I am pretty sure "Zoya kay ansoo bhi Asad ko kamzoor banatay hain." Just like Ammi's tears make Asad weak, Zoya's tears makes him weak..but he doesn't wanna get rid of his ideas of a perfect wife material and continues to hurt Zoya!
"The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how much they love them..." Asad thinks that he is too strong and he can guard his heart and hide his love for Zoya but in reality, he is a weak man (at the moment) who is hesitant to tell Zoya what she means to him. He constantly tries to push Zoya away...Hope he doesn't end up pushing Zoya a little too far away from him!
If Asad can overlook his Ammi's tears for his "beliefs" and go against her, he can definitely overlook (or at least try to overlook--which obviously isn't working too well for him) his love for Zoya because of his "ideologies" of a perfect wife.
(Do I need to mention Asad ignoring Ayaan's tears?)
"Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness." (Luke 11:35)
Light represents truth..hidden things revealed..Asad is blinded right now..what he thinks is light is actually darkness..When Asad will encounter the TRUTH, he's gonna regret hurting his Ammi, Zoya, and Ayaan! Asad isn't only hurting his loved ones, he's hurting himself in the process! It hurts Asad when he sees his Ammi crying because of him..It hurts Asad to see Zoya crying because of him...he's hurt when he sees Ayaan crying because of him..
Asad is unintentionally jeopardizing the most important relationships in his life.
At the end of the tunnel is light..so the GOOD NEWS is, Asad will eventually see the things as they truly are..(its a process, he can't change overnight)...and just like we are seeing the BITTER side of Asad, we are gonna see the BETTER side of Asad! So stay tuned..and get ready to fall in love with Asad all over again! Once the truth is revealed and Asad's eyes are opened..we are gonna see a transformed Asad Ahmed Khan! :)
