The dinning table was unusually calm. And today there was an additional member to the dinning table. Ayaan Ahmed Khan. Zoya sat with a hand tucked under her cheek and the other holding the fork which was now murdering an innocent piece of fruit.

Ayaan looked at Asad who was sipping his black coffee simultaneously reading the newspaper with a serious face. Last night was weird. As soon as Asad had caught him in Zoya's room, Asad had held his hand and taken him to his room, telling him to sleep here for the night. No questions about Zoya or him.

Ayaan had called home and informed his parents that his friend had met with an accident and he needed to be with him. His parents actually bought that. Haah! He thought.

"Jammy, why aren't you eating anything?" Tanveer nudged Asad.

"Tannu I'm not hungry. You please help yourself." Asad replied politely.

Zoya and Ayaan looked at each other and instantly burst out laughing. And laughing like maniacs I should add. Asad, Najma, Dilshad and Tanveer looked at them bewildered as their laughter didn't seem to stop. Najma noticed from the corner of her eyes that Asad was loosing his temper so she told Zoya to stop softly.

"What's all this non sense going on on the dinning table? Ayaan, behave yourself!" Asad said.

"But bhaijaan..Jammy!!!" And they were back to laughing again.

"AYAAN!" Asad's voiced boomed as Zoya stopped laughing and looked at Asad with a disgusting look. Asshole.

Ayaan just looked down and continued eating. Zoya looked at Ayaan and giggled. If Asad Ahmed Khan thought he could stop them from making fun of his pet name, he was so damn wrong.

Just then Zoya's phone buzzed. She excused herself and went to a corner to talk to the caller.

"Hello? YOUUU!" She screamed, attracting everyone's attention.

Ayaan probably figured who it was so he went up to her and took the phone from her. Right he was. Asher was calling to say that he would be there by the late in the night.

Asad looked at Zoya and Ayaan who seemed too lost in a conversation on Zoya's phone. His curious brain wanted to go up there and ask them who it was. Already the thought of Ayaan and Zoya alone in a room was hovering in his mind. He was too embarrassed to ask his brother because they'd never shared such things with each other and asking Zoya was out of question. She didn't even look at his damn face anymore!

"Jammy please eat, I can't let you go for work without-"

"Damn it Tanveer! I said I don't want to eat. Is it that difficult to process?" Asad blasted Tanveer and walked out of the house, grabbing his laptop and coat. Zoya looked at him weirdly, I hate him even more now. Jerk.

"Ssshhh! Don't make any noise! You'll wake everyone up!" Zoya shouted at a very casual Asher.

"I'm f**kin tired alright?" He said while stifling a yawn.

"DON'T USE THAT WORD HERE!" Zoya said softly yet with a tight voice though.

She looked at the clock, it was 3 am. She brought Asher to her room and shut the door softly. She turned around to look at him and he did precisely at that moment. Their eyes met and after that there was only one thing that Zoya did. She threw herself in his arms while he clutched her closer.

"You're not going to cry now are you?" Zoya pulled back and threw him a glare.

"For you? Never!"

"Aah! I have missed you. So damn much!" He pulled her in for a hug again.

"Me too Ashu! I needed you so much when-"

"When?" Asher pulled back.

"Umm nothing! Forget it!"

"No! We're not leaving anything aside. Who was that? Yeah..Mr. Jammy! What the hell have you been doing? Instead of looking for your father you're fooling around?"

"Ashu it's..it's not what it looks like! Just get some rest. I'll introduce you to everyone tomorrow morning and then you can leave."

"Yeah I'm not staying with some stupid orthodox family here. I'm outta here first thing tomorrow!"

"Okay fine you over sized pig!"

"Over sized? Zoe, do you even have the faintest clue of how much is hidden beneath all this clothing? Like every girl I've been with says that I rock their world!"

"I did not need that piece of information about my best friend who kissed me one day during high school."

"I liked you back then! And you know those teenage hormones just made me throw myself at you! And wasn't this over? How many times do you have to bring it up?"

Zoya laughed and sat on the bed. "Go to sleep Ashu! Good night!"

Asher just removed his shirt and threw it on the couch. He collapsed next to Zoya on the bed and put an arm around her.

"I missed our crazy hang outs!" Zoya muttered suddenly, feeling his arm around her.

"Me too! I was psyched out with those weirdo's I'd been sleeping with!" Asher joked.

Finally they slept that night. Zoya felt so relieved that her bestie was here now. She saw his arm around her and wondered, if anyone saw them now they would definitely think that they were more than friends. And they were, for Asher. He thought she couldn't see it in his eyes. He loved her. So much. She could see right through him.

The second he had heard about Asad, he had taken the first flight to set the man right. Obviously he loved her! They'd connected on so many levels! They went to college together and also worked at the same place until Zoya decided to take the year off to look for her father in India. She remembered how he had cried like a baby a night before she left New York. He was a baby. Her baby.

"Phuphi, this is Asher. He's my best friend from New York! He came here a while back." Zoya lied. Of course she couldn't tell them the truth! That he'd stayed with her in her bedroom the whole night! Well almost.

"Salam." Asher greeted Dilshad and Najma.

"Salam." They all replied gleefully as Asad entered the living room.

"Asad! Come here! This is Asher, he's Zoya's best friend from New York!"

Asad glanced the man from head to toe. He looked like Popeye! He even wore a Popeye shirt! All that was missing was a cap and a cigar, hopefully he wouldn't get to see that. His gaze fell on Zoya, she was holding his hand and had the brightest smile ever. She looked gorgeous. He had missed that smile on her face and that bubbly attitude of hers.

"Salam. I'm Asad Ahmed Khan."

"I'm Asher." Asher shook hands with Asad. He looks like an ogre! Asher thought.

"You're welcome to stay where Asher. As long as you want." Dilshad made a polite offer and suddenly Asad tensed up. If this man stayed here, he'd have to see more of the bonding and more of the close moments. NO! He couldn't!

"No aunty. I'm staying at a hotel. That's absolutely convenient for me."

"But-"

"Jammy I-" Tanveer entered the premises. And with that one word, Asher's ears stood up. So this ogre was Jammy! The guy his Zoe had fallen in love with! That f**kface!

"Just a second Tanveer, you were saying something Asher." Asad said.

"Yeah! I was saying that I'd be glad to live with you guys! And like aunty said, for as long as I want!"

Zoya stared at him wide eyed and Asad's face drained it's colour. Oh Mr. Jammy! I'm gonna make you pay for all the hurt you've put my Zoe through! Asher thought in his mind.

Nothing much I know. But the next part, definitely better! Had a very tiring paper but I still managed to put this up. Hope it wasn't that bad! :)
