maybe it will be ayaan and zoya getting married bcoz of the visa expiry since the original plot already mentioned that both of them will be in a temporary marriage...
either way, i really hope asad and zoya fall in love soon and have a strong relationship!!

Really?
I never knew that was the original plot premise...that Uhyaan and Zoya will have a temporary marriage.

Well... this could certainly lead up to it.

Now the question - Asad or Ayaan? Well assuming that it's Asad because i simply can't stand Ayaan, something has to happen to bring them close enough for Asad, the straight laced and stick up his pretty ass hero to do something to help Zoya. I guess her solving this whole who-wants-to-kill-Dilshad could soften his disposition some. Still a fake marriage will probably hurt Dilshad more and that brings Asad back to square one. He probably won't do it.

Which brings in the whole Ayaan angle. Which I really hope doesn't happen.

But all things considered, the male and female lead have to be the same frame for the story to go on so one way or the other Asad and Zoya will be together. On that logic Asad- Zoya fake marriage seems to be on the cards. 😆

Leads can be in the same frame even while being 'apart'... lots of opportunities to 'crash' into each other, trip and fall into male lead's arms, have encounters where they fight and then make-up with long soulful gazes, and the most important... for the female lead's scarf to drape over the male lead by the heretofore properly behaved gust-of-wind!

As for Uhsud and that perpetual 'dash may(n) bumboo' that he has (to use Uhyaan's expression), maybe Zoya will take it out and beat some sense into him with it!😃

RC fake marriages have always worked - even "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds made a fortune at the box office. My question is will we get to see a naked Asad and Zoya accidentally colliding into each other. 😉 Honestly, I think it is going to happen - give it a month and we will see it...I hope though that when this does happen, the redemption track take a backseat and the writers completely forget about it or how it will affect their future relations with each other.

Jayne,

You have several well thought of options and I am sure the writers have also put these on the wall trying to figure out what one will be the one they enjoy writing and will generate the most TRPs.

I too don't know what they will decide...but if this is a rom com - then doing the fake marriage and Dilshaad thinking it is real will generate the best laughs. Whatever option they decide, they do need to address the redemption factor otherwise it will not hold much depth if these two do fall for each other...

Zoya and Assad sharing a room together works because they are an Odd Couple and the conflict is so obvious that the writers will not have a problem generating the necessary comedy.

Too true.
There is lots of scope for comedy, romance, drama, and politics because of the conflict between them, not to mention the conflicts with everyone else around.

Regarding the redemption factor... I do agree that it really needs to be addressed seriously...not just the male lead gazing at the female lead with beseeching eyes and she having to 'understand' his 'silent apology.'

I do believe that is the prime mistake soap operas make...they want to showcase social evil and how 'crime never pays'...but while they admirably succeed in the former - a little too much, methinks - the latter is where they consistently drop the ball.

Every social evil and crime is shown for weeks on end in great detail - from plotting, to arrangements, to execution.
However, deliverance of just deserts is usually over with in one or two episodes, remarked only with proselytizing by the female/male leads.
No action... or if taken, merely a two second routine of cops coming to the show, forever late, as usual.

Case in point, the recent episodes of Zoya being buried alive.
We have multiple episodes of the chase, the capture, and the burial.
The resolution was delivered via phone to Uhsud -
and indirectly to us audience - that the people responsible were arrested in regards to another crime.

No wonder the message never sticks and people who are looking for ways to commit crime get a blow by blow instruction manual on it.

For Uhsud's redemption, he has to first insist that Zoya lodge a complaint against his 'maamu' and his henchmen (though Zoya ought to have done it on her own), and then support her by agreeing to being a witness.
Then taking some counseling and therapy to address his violence issues. This would showcase a commitment towards tackling that which is a problem.
Most commit violence in moments of stress / anger or other extreme emotion ...so that can never be an excuse to condone and forgive such violence.
It always escalates.

This would be just the start.

I am hopeful the PH won't let us down (though I don't know why...soap operas have always been a disappointment when it comes to such things😕)

The question is... WILL Zoy agree to a fake marriage??

Didn't she refuse to get married in the beginning because she wasn't ready neither did she love the guy. Zoya did say that Marriage is a lifetime commitment for her which she will uphold till the end of her life so I REALLY doubt her marrying Ayaan just to extend her visa.
On the other hand Asad has a chance ONLY if by that time she realises she loves therefore she might marry him but other than that I doubt both Asad and Zoya will want to be in a fake marriage.whatever may be the reason.

P.S: Also, I read that divorce and remarriage is a rather difficult procedure in the muslim religion?

Certainly...Zoya may refuse for either of those or any other reason...but we have been shown repeatedly that Uhsud is falling for her...her reactions have always been portrayed as rather ambiguous... but in order to stay back, she might justify a wedding to herself in terms of getting to stay with Dilshaad whom she loves likes mom; and a sister in Nujma.
Dishaad might also, of course, want this for Uhsud and Zoya, so that might clinch the deal for them.

Divorce might be a difficult procedure, but it might also depend on how one chooses to lead one's life... Zoya and Uhsud are shown to be modern people (Uhsud perhaps not so much in his thinking)... though the crux of the story would then be that they cannot divorce for one reason or another...and how they stay together.

It all seems very possible but when you look at it from Zoya's POV she time & again said Marriage for her is sacred so I don't see her getting into a contract marriage.

Islamic POV- there is no such thing as a contract marriage

Asad's POV- Should be similar to the Islamic POV because he seems very serious about his religious values

Ayaan & Zoya- Ahhh no way thats just going to bring too big a twist- one I dont want to see! plus Asad is not the still-feeling-for-lost-love type, specially if it concerns his brother and AsYa interaction will be vastly reduced due to this which will affect trp's.
