You all know the hindi proverb: Jale par namak chidakna...that's what they showed very astutely

While Zoya was burning in anger because of his insensitivity, he asked her to pass salt!

This one is really good, Sangeeta.

From my side...

The very obvious symbolism from the epi...I loved the way the flame was shown to get closer to Zoya...really nice shot.

Symbolises her fear that the fire will swallow her and also perhaps that she is getting closer to the fire...or the fire is getting closer to her. It is trying to engulf her... Loved that shot.👏

Yeah, good point. She is getting closer to finding her father...but that reality might be too hot for her to handle, burn her when she finds out that he was probably responsible for his Ammi's death ( assuming siddiqui is her dad)

Also, there is probably some significance of that Persian carpet ...I didn't pay too much attention to that scene. Does anyone have a theory?

Another one...when Dilshaad picked up the phone yesterday, there was a book titled 'village' and we know they are having a Quran recitation with women of the community today. Kinda like the village getting together in prayer

I felt there was some symbolism associated with the carpet too! 😊
Must watch the scene again.

Excellent, Sangeeta.👏

Both the points did strike me when I watched the epi, only the book had really registered. I had forgotten to look it up, because I did not rewatch.

The book definitely must have significance...though we will not know if it is a general clue or a message to fandom.

The Village: The first thing that comes to mind is the movie and not the book.

From the movie:

'The Elders seem to keep dark secrets of their own in black boxes, the contents of which they keep hidden from their own offspring.'

This is the central theme of the movie and very relatable to QH.

There are two books, one by Mulk Raj Anand and the other by Bing West...Both don't make sense in the context of QH. I think the author is mentioned in the book itself, need to rewatch the scene.

BTW, any one wondered how Raziya got invited for it? She is not a family friend. The only time she met Dilshad was when she went snooping around .

Dee,

Do you rewatch all the epis?😊

I want to confess something here. Seriously, if they make Siddiqui Zoya's father😡, it will be more unpalatable for me than Ayan- Zoya or the new entry.

I just can't tolerate that man as Zoya's father.😡

Gul, Pleeeaaassse...😃

(I take relief in the fact that if he was indeed Zoya's dad, we would have had some kind of a subtle suggestion. Here all the suggestions are too crude...almost like they are playing a joke on us...How I hope that comes true. Don't want Siddiqui as dad. It is bad enough he is Humeira's dad).😭

Observations so far today... I'm working as I watch so might miss some stuff out

1. Zoya gets up and walks away just as Razia settles down: Does this mean Razia will not get the doll despite trying really hard to look for it? This is if Zoya's the doll like we think she is

2. Asad gives the photos that Zoya's given him to Ayaan
3. Asad promises to introduce Ayaan to Zoya

Will Asad be the one to 'give up' Zoya willingly or unknowingly?

Will update later.

Regarding the second point, i think if Mamujan is Zoya's father, then Ayan might be able to find the same photo in his mansion from an old Album. By that it will be easy for them to trace out her father.

I just rewatch Asya scenes 😃 I haven't read those books but this statement: if true, hats off to the creatives: he Elders seem to keep dark secrets of their own in black boxes, the contents of which they keep hidden from their own offspring.'

I think Siddiqui is the dad and he must have gotten involved with Z's mom for money. Aha! That's why that Iraqian rug...hiding the truth behind an expensive exterior. Siddiqui's wealth is all Z's mom's wealth! BINGO!

Yup...Asad is unknowingly giving his love away to his brother😕 These photographs are precious to Zoya and Zoya is precious to Asad (whether he admits to it or not) and he has given both to Ayaan.

Also, just figured out that expensive rug symbolism. Z's mom was probably rich. Siddiquis have killed her and probably acquired all her wealth- the expensive rug. They are hiding secrets behind this expensive exterior of theirs. Zoya, is the rightful inheritor and that's why she will enter Siddiqui house to claim her rights

Foreshadowing: Yesteray Asad says he will go crazy between Ayaan and Zoya when she comes in to invite him for the event and cutely explodes at him after Ayaan dismisses him over the phone.I nodded and said INDEED you will. 😆 just wait till you fall for her while they get married and divorced.

In today's epi, at the Quran Khaani, Haseena Bi and her evil twin equate Zoya's dress to that worn by Bazaaru Auratein, and it made me wonder if Zoya has an unsavoury past - either Zoya was conceived out of wedlock or her mum had a secret marriage, which her father then disowned. I'm aware this is not classic foreshadowing by definition, but it is in a sense as Zoya's past is yet to be revealed. 😊
