Uff! These two! So,all those who were expecting AsYa's equation to mature can go and hit their heads against walls. Kyunki woh to hone se rahaa. Zoe acchi-khaasi sudhar ke Asad se poori tameez mein pesh aa rahi thi, apne haathon se khaana serve kar rahi thi and even her volume and tempo had gone down, but Asad! He ran off from the dining table as though Zoe was gonna boil him with vegetables. He hid behind Dilshie and Tamaatar so that Zoe ke saath khaana na khaana pade. On tops and tops of that, Asad again accused and blamed Zoe to re-condition his pseudo-dislike for Zoe. And Dilshie could notice that much - Asad's old 'wo bechaari nahiin hai' irritation was no longer there and he was looking into blank space - dil kahiin aur dimaag kahiin , aur banaa di Zoe ke dimaag ki condensed Dahee.
Of course, Zoe overheard him and we don't know how she felt at that moment. And then, the flawless heart that she is, she makes the effort of working in the kitchen to prepare a turmeric paste for her Jahaanpanah. It doesn't hit her at all that from where is this concern rising? Tamaatar acts as the tease of Cupid to her while Dilshie had sounded the voice of reason and heart to Asad. And funnily, they both don't know what has happened between Asad and Zoe.
Asad is too overwhelmed and traumatized by his revelation of feelings for Zoe and he is finding excuses to run away from her ( I wonder how many times he is going to escape his breakfast, lunch, dinner) . And Zoe? She doesn't care how rude Asad is as we saw in the Turmeric paste and the terrace scene in the precap - she goes after him like a bar magnet , like always.
The problem is that Asad-Zoe HAVE TO go back to their fights, more so Asad. If they don't , they will have to deal with what has changed between them. Asad will have to initiate and Zoe will react accordingly. Its a half-frustrated and half-deliberate effort to go back to the old banter so that you don't have to face the shift in your heart.
And the dialogues in the precap are telling foreshadows. Asad blurts out his subconscious mind where he actually means that he doesn't want Zoe to go anywhere. Zoe reacts accordingly and her statement means that if she takes this house and Asad as her own, she will do it for keeps.
As of now, its Asad running away from Zoe and Zoe running behind him. From the dining table to the terrace, the saga of the original 'Aafaton Ke Parindey' continues...
P.S- Any bets on whether Ayaan and Humzie are gonna get engaged?
