Where do they stand?

So I've been thinking about QH lately. Especially after yesterday's amazing episode. 😲⭐️👏. Hats off, Really.

But yeah, I've been thinking about Asad and Zoya. I'm trying to understand their current relationship, what is is, where its going etc.

Certain facts are undeniable.
(1) Both are attracted to each other. Physically that is. That was proved to me in the very first episodes when Asad encountered run-away bride Zoya. The way he looked at her. WOW. And from Zoya's direction, well the famous bath-tub scene speaks for itself.
(2) Asad feels responsible for her. But is this sense of responsibility specific towards Zoya, or does he in general feel a need to look after others? I.e.: just like Zoya, is he someone who is just unable to look away?
(3) Asad has saved Zoya from goons multiple times. In the instance of Akram, and recently. Both times Asad's "realization" that he had to save Zoya came after he found out that she had very good reasons for doing what she did.

The above things tell me, that although they are attracted to one another, they are a long way from loving each other.

I'm sure that Asad realizes he likes Zoya romantically, but he is fighting it (quite consciously) because although he is drawn to her, Zoya is quite a character, and very different from what Asad has spent his whole life admiring. There's a certain level of acceptance that needs to take place before Asad and Zoya allow themselves to fall deeper. They're at the same place they were when Zoya first moved in. I'm anxious for the next step. But I'm not sure if this will be it. We were all sure the Akram incident would bring them closer, but it was quickly put into perspective by both, and forgotten.

Overall though, I'm quite happy with the storyline. I'm interested to see how AsYa builds from here. I really really like how consistent Four Lions is with Asad and Zoya's interactions. Asad doesn't immeditaly run to her rescue, he does it almost begrudgingly, or after he realizes that whatever happened isn't her fault.

What do you think of this past episode, and AsYa's current relationship?

Edited: My predictions are almost always wrong when it comes to 4 Lions. But, maybe this is all just background building for AsYa. So that when/if Zoya-Ayaan happen, her closeness to Asad (and their trust and approval for one another) is very blatant and quite scandalizing to the rest of the family.

I do not see Asad as having any romantic feelings for Zoya and vice versa. I do not even see them as physically attracted to each other. He might see her as a pretty girl but that is it. She sees him as a guy with a hot body and that too stops there.

Neither Asad or Zoya are attracted to each other enough to be romantically involved with each other. Asad can't stand her; he doesn't want to be around her, he finds her interfering, troublesome and has not sympathy or compassion for her. He's either threatening to kill her or get rid of her from his life. Zoya does not hate or dislike him but she does seem to be seeking his approval; she has tears in her eyes when he spews his angry venom of dislike towards her the moment before she passes out. That's pretty cruel when someone tells you they are 'tolerating you" and wish you would get out of their lives.

Now that Zoya nearly did leave Asad and Asad realizes what she risked for Mariyam; he might open his heart out to Zoya and actually see her in a positive light. He might call her "Zoya" from now on; inquire about her, want to know more about her either to his mother or to Zoya herself. This is pivotal in making the romance happen. A kinder and gentler Asad will most certainly have an impact on Zoya who might start to fall in love with him and before she knows it sees him as the one for her, but does Asad? That remains to be seen.

In all of this we still have the dreaded risk of the horrifically nightmarish triangle situation where Zoya and Ayaan could end up together - to what degree we don't know - marriage, consummation of marriage, children> The whole thing is difficult to comprehend, imagine or accept. All of this possible with Asad sacrificing Zoya to please Ayaan (without realizing Zoya's feelings for him; meaning her feelings are secondary to Ayaan's).

I am curious to see what direction the writers take this show. I have enjoyed so far. If they destroy it, i for one might still watch but I will not out of enjoyment...just to see what happens.
