"Main tumhare paas nahin, iska matlab yeh nahin ki main tumse door hoon. Mere khayaalon mein aur meri duaaon mein tum humesha shaamil ho" -Asad to Nikhat

There is something about this show and the way various relationships are explored. I would normally never enjoy this kind of a family drama but something about Qubool Hai is so palpable that I can't help feeling drawn in. It's not about the characters really (I am hardly fond of any except Dilshad and her kids, tbh) but the bond established between each of them.

I really felt a tug on my emotional strings when Nikhat says 'Jee...Bhaijaan'. And when Asad realises that he is actually speaking to Nikhat and not Ayaan, that expression on his face is not to be missed. That bliss on both their faces is unmistakable!

Asad's and Nikhat's conversation had had to be loved because of how subtly the scene was directed and enacted. It didn't seem overly dramatic or a tearjerker at all. It was a heartfelt and heartwarming conversation when a brother cannot attend his sister's engagement. It's SAD that Nikhat's eldest brother is not there with her on her big day and both of them are aware of it. But Asad sums up beautifully saying that even if he's not physically present, his blessings are always there with his younger sister and encourages her to cheer up. The scene was emotionally moving yet I couldn't help having this huge smile on my face throughout it.

For Asad, Nikhat/Nuzrat are as much of his sisters as Najma and Nikhat, too, holds the same adoration for Asad as she does for Ayaan. It touches to see how these kids hold no bitterness towards each other because of what their father did to their respective mothers. And beyond that, they hold genuine affection for each other. It's hard to tell they're only half siblings. I really wish to see Najma warm up to Ayaan/Nikhat/Nuzrat too. Unlike Asad, she holds no soft corner for her half-siblings which is justified but it would be nice to see otherwise.

As of now, I am superhappy that at least Asad spoke to Nikhat. She will miss his presence on her engagement but she knows that wherever he might be, her eldest brother will be praying for her happiness and well-being.

P.S. Asad-Ayaan are magic together. I love what KSG said about them in today's SBS! The precap made moi dukhi, though

Completely agree with you about the fact that all the bonds shared in this show are super special .. for a while now I have been getting drawn to shows that explore bonds other than just a ladka ladki in love and have to say QH is doing an exceptional job .. Even though we hardly have seen any scenes between the half siblings still the bond they share is so visible through their conversations about each other. After knowing the kinda feelings Asad harbors for his father I would have never thought he would be this emotionally attached to his half siblings but it's so endearing to witness it. Todays phone conversation scene between Nikhat and Asad was the highlight .. The dua he gave to his sister was so awe-worthy and Nikhat's happiness over getting to talk to her bhaijaan before such an important day was nice to see!

I am pretty much on the same boat as you, mb! I need an overall connect to the show, just one factor cannot keep me hooked. The bond between the half-siblings is based on how they miss each other and how much they love each other despite not being able to meet up often. That's exactly what draws me to it. Today's scene of Asad-Nikhat was beautifully done and kudos to the team for that. Asad knows his half-siblings aren't at fault and he shouldn't blame them, which in itself is fine but what rises above ordinary for me is the love and affection he holds for them.
