Purdah is not a thing to oppress women.
Islamic women follow purdah coz it has been guided to them to do it by our Prophet and is mentioned in Quran[pbuh].I request you not to challenge the traditions of any religion/culture in this forum.We need to maintain the decorum of the forum.
I would request you to atleast respect the traditions and culture of Islam just like Islam respects any other culture.

Regarding your belief of agreeing to acknowledge the fact that Allah has asked women not to wear apparels that resemble men,I can't do anything.
You are free to believe whatever you like.



Please don't think of the negative atmosphere.This thread had a lively discussion in peace and all the forum members were quite mature enough to discuss such a sensitive issue with much peace and understanding at the time it was opened.I'm really hurt to see that you called this post a sexist one.It's really sad.I completely disagree with you and my thread is not a sexist thread,let me make this very much clear to you.

I am not a Muslim but believe in one God with different names and all faiths.

Following religion is not bad but following it blindly is. No religion is or culture is free of faults. Hinduism has many social evils and so does Islam and other religion. Purdah is considered a social evil in todays society. And purdah isnt just a Muslim custom but a Hindu one too.It existed in Hinduism in olden days.

I do not intend to insult any religion but what is wrong is wrong. Such as Sati, purdah,Sharia-Islamic rape Law, dowry, and many more such customs. Religion can't be used to justify such inhumane practices.

Btw I am never going to agree with you and I know you are not ever gonna agree wth me...so...

Anyways I also believe a woman wont be judged by god for wearing jeans, god doesn't care about such petty things, its the deeds you do that matter not your external appearance...

I never said that u disrespected Islam.
The way u compared Sati n Purdah offended me very badly.
I also believe like you that there is one God with different names for different people.
So I think we both think alike in this aspect.
I donot understand why u felt this thread to be more oriented towards religion.
This thread was all about ASAD and the reasons behind his personality coz of the his upbringing which includes his culture.

I'm sorry but in Islam,those men n women who don't follow the guidelines of Islam are going to be questioned on the judgement day.
Allah is going to take 'Hisab' of everything that has been offered to man by the Almighty which includes food,water,etc etc.
We are going to be questioned as to how well we utilized all the resources and how much wasted them.
So every single deed of all of us is being noted and the code of conduct which is a very essential part of every human's life is going to be questioned as well.

Well we both can surely disagree on hundreds of things provided the discussion is healthy n not offending.

Woah!! This thread has reached 20 pages.OMG!! I don't believe this..😃

I'm here to make this thread visible to the people who are having a huge amount of discussion in other thread regarding Zoya's outfits.I don't think I've said anything different from what has been said in that thread.But this thread always had a peaceful discussion and not a heated up back to back debate.
I hope the members may take note of this thread and cool down a bit.
