Last few episodes in which Rizwan constantly try to push away Preet from his life so that she fall out of love with him and his departure from her life gets easier made me question Rizwan's true feelings for Preet. I have been enraged , I have been infuriated and I have been clueless to gauge what is with Rizwan nowdays that drives him like this. Today's precap made it more obvious that Rizwan has finally made his mind to embrace his true identity in the coming days and behave exactly like Rizwan Ahmed khan - A trained individual to destroy a nation, to destroy people's lives, who does not have any right to hold any feelings and its only his maqsad what keeps him going. Thus It reminds me a song as mentioned in the title-
This is what happened when Love meets Destruction
We'll watch the hourglass end, Your time is up.
To tell you How I've died inside
Love is lost like words
This is what happened when Love meets destruction
Life for life...
As viewers we always knew that this journey of Rizwan and Preet is going to be one battle of conflicting emotions,it should not come as a shocker. We also know the explicit duplicity of the protagonist which defines him in true sense. But still his actions make me uncomfortable these days , I cant figure out if I should try to see the reasons behind his actions or should I detest him for being this heartless towards a woman who only showed utmost sincerity being a lover and complete devotion being a wife? Do we really know this Rizwan Ahmed Khan? There is a thought that Rizwan was like this from the start, he was always this destructive as he never get to know how to nurture ,to heal wounds. He always knew how to be harsh, cruel, manipulative to get his work done, thus its nothing new we are seeing. But If we go by this, then his words become meaningless rant, few hollow blabberings for me atleast. Or it was always meant to belike this? The war was within till date, tearing Rizwan apart but as the mission needs to reach its end soon, the war is now outside too , coming forefront attacking every emotion of his and in the process destroying Preet and Rizwan both? Rizwan nowdays live by the words of Neil Gaiman.
"I think I'll dismember the world and then I'll dance in the wreckage."
Once Rizwan used to say that he would protect Preet at any cost and even if he is not there he would make sure that she has a secured future. But that same person now makes Preet lose every hope about her future. He wants to dictate her life in a way by deciding how she should end up with another man. Is he so much in love with this woman that he ends up destroying her soul eventually to give her a future life? What kind of Love is this? And is this reflection of Rizwan's soul which finally has shedded off the faade and now does not even bother to wear the mask to camouflage his darkness?Does destruction attrct Rizwan much more than affection? Is his love suffocating enough to treat Preet like a possession by him and thus he decides what should be done to her post his departure? Is the divorce paper is equivalent to a will , the last wish of a dying man? Is it now the final showdown between all the duplicity which Rizwan so dearly hid for so many years and the end is near declaring the result? Will we come to know who is the triumphant force - LOVE OR DESTRUCTION? 🥺
Let me end saying that I belive that Love is one such feeling or human emotion which cannot get a specific entitled definition. Its such dynamic, volatile emotion just like ever changing Life. At times its heals us like music does to soul and at times it breaks us into pieces to make survival a living nightmare. But still in human life we all yearn for this only as it helps us to continue living. Rizwan and Preet are no different either but its their destiny that their love needs to go through this thron filled path where both are severely injured with each passing dayand it seems it will end up in death only to free them from this destruction. their heart has bled enough now I guess its time to breathe its last💔
