Here's bad news for ardent fans of Rajshri Productions' TV show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai... According to reports, the Star Plus show is slated to go off air soon.

Rajshri Productions' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai... which has been successfully entertaining the audience since last two years has not managed to impress viewers of late. The daily soap which made Disha Parmar aka Pakhuri and Nakuul Mehta aka Aditya Diwan household names has been witnessing a dip in its numbers. It is perhaps due to this reasons that the channel has decided to pull the plug on the show.

Sources inform that the show will go off air on November 1, 2014 and a new show will take its time slot.

When contacted, Nakuul Mehta remained unavailable for comment.

I am so going to miss pkdh.

I think sp wants that prime spot for the new show. It was probably between pkdh and yeh rishta and they chose to remove pkdh. Maybe the actors salaries were pricey or Rajshree productions wants to invest all the time and money on their new movie with salman khan and want to focus on that right now.

I dunno but I sure will miss it. There is no show even close to pkdh on any tv show right now. What other show will you find a modern mother in law,father in law and a family with modern stories instead of all the backward sas bahu and revenge shows.

Friends, after a long time I am posting something. This news is haertbreaking, but not unexpected or shocking. I can remember the day 18th June 2012, when, while serving dinner my wife said "You know what this serial is based on Kullu and Manali and we will watch this". Being mad about mountains I agreed to her and from Day 1 till the day it was confirmed that Ayesha was not Pankhuri I not only watched every single episode, but I have those stored in the hard disk of my computer. I don't konw how many times I have watched those. Although I stopped watching the show since then, but I used to be silent reader in this forum to keep myself updated. I had thin glimmer of hope that Adi will move on with Ayesha as his wife in life. Many people had been demanding the return of Pankhuri and finally it happened. Sorry to say it was the kiss of death for the show. Many a time many friends in this forum had suggested many sensible tracks for the show, like Pankhuri joining the business and becoming as successful as Avantika or both PaYa and RuYal becomig parents and their kids growing up etc, but hey didn't listen. They got an wake up call when Mansi Salvi wanted to quit, but still they didn't react. Sorry to say Disha herself has to take some of the blame. She was not happy with the character of Pankhuri and that also contributed a geart deal to it's untimely demise. The entire Ayesha part was not at all required. Being loved by million viewers, becoming the first actress on indian tv to have over 50000 followers in twitter, getting aquinted with inter national cricketers through IPL, being part of the promotional activity of the 2015 ICC Cricket World cup...all these got to her head...subconsiously she might ave felt, people will love any character she plays and it happened too...people did love Ayesha as well, but they had lost the plot long ago...it was only a question of time when it will finally succumb.

This shwo brought me back to the habit of watching serials after 15 long years, I didn't watch an other show on any other channell. I saw myself in Adi. Thanks to the wonderful acting of Nakul. I loved Disha's acting too. Wish all the best to the entire team who have entertained us for almost 3 years, but there is nothing left in the story, so it better go off air, before people start to say it's not a show, it's a torture. Bye.

PKDH is ending because it has ran out of stories. They tried to create more by introducing Ayesha but due to fans demand brought back Pankhudi, which meant the show has to end.

Why? because there is no conflict whatsoever with Pankhuri an Adi together. All they can do is bring in more outside drama and it has been done to death.

So goodbye, all good things come to an end.
