Nakuul uses his wedding attire for on-screen shaadi
Actor Nakuul Mehta will soon be seen tying the knot on the screen, in a lavish wedding a la Bollywood style in his telly show, Pyar Ka Dard Hai...
The actor is excited about his reel wedding, as he will be seen in a traditional Marwar look. Interestingly, it's the same attire -- safaa and bandhgala -- he had worn for his real-life wedding with Jankee.
"One can't buy this safaa off the shelf. So, I had to call the same guy from Rajasthan who had tied it on my head at my wedding," says Nakuul. The jewellery piece or the kalangi on the safaa and the sword he will carry during the on-screen wedding is a family heirloom, which is about 140 years old and has been passed on from his great-grandfather.
