TT review: PKDH episode of 7 January 2013

Pankhu's inference that Adi was being an escapist by volunteering to go to Singapore for the office project hit the nail on the head - the ensuing misunderstanding involving his parents and Preeti Maasi has left Adi confused and bereft of all the confidence in love and relationships that Pankhu had so painstakingly instilled in him. In a matter of hours Adi converted from a carefree friend and loving husband to a sad and disillusioned lover - a victim of the bitterness unwittingly spewed by his parents. Like Pankhu and the rest of the family, even I can't understand why Harish and Preeti would want to protect someone at the cost of a relationship - we are yet to know of this mystery man and the actual story behind Preeti's pregnancy. On the other hand , Sheila Mami and Rubel continue to plot and plan with another new partner in the form of Latika (as if the mother son duo weren't enough) to spread poison in the lives of the Kumars and the Deewans. Kudos to the cast of PKD for brilliant and well emoted performances - special mention to Nakul Mehta for portraying all the diverse emotions of an angry confused son and regressive lover, losing faith in the institution of marriage and relationships yet again. The promo seems to hold a promise to unfold the mystery of Preeti's past to Adi via Harish , but we viewers still remain in the dark - darn! All in all, an emotionally charged episode centering upon the effect of his parent's misunderstanding on an embittered son. Looking forward to seeing the final unveiling of Preeti's past in the upcoming episodes of the week.
