I was totally shocked at Avantika's taunting of Harish to Adi over the fact that the car was second-hand and brown! Of all the stupid things to be pissed off about, and to still be pissed off about twenty-something years later! I can understand that she didn't want to take baby Adi home on a scooter - anyone else would probably think of the baby's safety, but from the way Avantika has been behaving, it seems that she probably cared more about appearances than safety! You would think that a person would be extremely happy that their spouse made the effort to work hard to earn extra money so that they could save for and then buy a roadworthy car, and learn to drive and become legally licensed to do so - all in time to be able to take their newborn son home from the hospital safely! And even if she was a bit miffed at the time, baby Adi obviously made it safely home so why on Earth is she still so pissed off now? (Obviously, I'm not thinking with the same 'logic' that ma'am uses!)
I wish we get to see some flashbacks at some stage about how Avantika and Harish met and then got married. And a bit more about how they broke up - we have seen a bit, but I think more would be good as the story progresses. Some divorced/separated couples still get along really well (especially if they have kids), so I'd like to see more of EXACTLY what happened with these two and led to this point when they are still dredging up things like this old car issue! I was particularly intrigued by things like Preeti's attitude towards Anantika and Harish (I like that she likes Harish - probably because he seems to be the one somewhat sane person that has been in her life!) and Harish's positive attitude towards marriage and that he still remembers that there were actually good things about his marriage (which Avantika seems to be hell bent on forgetting).
By the way, are Avantika and Harish actually divorced or just separated? I'm not sure because Harish introduced himself to Avantika's clients as "inka door ka husband" (her distant husband) rather than her ex-husband, and when he went to speak to Avantika about behaving nicely at Pankhuri's (now cancelled) welcome party because Pankhuri and her aunt and uncle might not quite understand their "separated status" (Harish's words). Maybe the "distant husband" thing was just Harish trying to be funny to piss off Avantika, but if they are actually divorced then why didn't he say their "divorced status" when he was speaking to her privately? I'm really intrigued by this divorced or not thing, because no one has actually clearly said that they are divorced. If they really are still legally married then that might be another reason that Avantika is so pissed off all the time!
