@@@--- Part 5 ---@@@"Wake up you sleepyhead !" Piya heard alina' voice in her ears. She thought she was dreaming. "Wakeup ! Wakeup ! " Alina removed blanket and snatched pillow from under her head. Piya forcefully opened her eyes. She sat on the bed, rubbing sleep off her eyes "So, where is the sky falling? " She said, yawning.
"Over your head. " Alina said sharply.
"If it so, I'll prefer dying while sleeping than running. " She yawned and lied on the bed, grabbing her pillow from alina' hand. "Go, run for your life.. " She said to her in sleepy voice.
"Piya..." Alina groaned, and started shaking her from the shoulder "I. Said. Wake. Up ! "
"Fine. I'm up. " Piya jerked her hand away and sat on the bed, her head lied against the head board.
"Where were you yesterday? specifically, last night ? " Alina asked her.
"Why you asking ? " All piya wanted to do at that time was to sleep, not to play a question and answer round with her elder sister.
"Tell me where you were? "
"I don't know. " She replied in same sleep filled voice.
"How could you not know this? " Alina crossed her arms over her waist, showing that she was pissed at her.
"Okay, I know. "
"Than tell me. "
"I was at A... " She had almost said that was at AR' home , but then stopped as she realised what she was about to blurt. She reminded with whom she was last entire day. Her eyes shoot open. Moving her head from head board she looked at her. Alina was waiting for her answr. Piya didn't know what to say. She had caught her totally off guard. She tugged her hairs behind her ear , avoiding alina' s eyes and tried to remember what she had said to her parents last night. "I went to the cafe with a friend. We spend some time together there, that's it." She repeated the last night lie. She tied her hair in a loose bun, wore her eyeglasses and got up from the bed.
"Why hadn't you brought him here for your birthday celebration ? We could've all met him. "
Her questions started getting on piya's nerve. She faced her "You were there last night when I told mom everything. Why hadn't you said same thing then ? why now all of sudden ? "
"I believed you last night. But now I know you are lying. " Alina huffed. Piya raised a questionable eye brow at her.
"Was your friend name AR ? " She croaked. At first piya thought she had heard wrong. Alina couldn't really asked her about AR directly just like that. She thought. Then she observed alina's face and realised she was hearing right, and that rang a warning bell in her head.
Alina was asking ! Which means she had somehow come to know about piya and AR meeting. It wasn't a good news to her ears and she feared there was more to come. "How did you know that ? " Piya asked, though she had already guess her answer.
"It's all over on the Internet. " Alina told. "You kissed him !! " She cried out.
"What?! No !! " Piya was at loss of words, she hadn't guess that.
Alina grab her iPad from the side table. "Then what's this? " She said showing her already open news article. Piya hastily took iPad from her hand, and saw what alina was talking about. That Article stated piya as AR' alleged girlfriend and there were many pics to prove it. Piya' breath stopped. "This is bad . This is bad. " She chanted in her head, but tongue felt tied.
All the pics had been taken at the time when they both were in the garden, and, the pic of that moment when AR kissed her on the cheek had been taken from such an angle that it looked liked they were lip kissing. She didn't dare to read the article, pics were enough to shook her brain.
"This isn't true. " She uttered and threw iPad on the bed.
"Pics don't lie ! " Alina retorted. Piya ran her hands across her hairs, walking restlessly. "Look, we met yesterday coincidently. He was hiding from paparazzi and came to me for help. I helped him, that's it ! " She was walking and telling ,and walking, but not stopping. She wanted to run somewhere. Her brain wasn't working what to tell and what not to.. she tried to keep it simple.
"Don't try to fool me. The article even say he proposed you with a gift. " alina frowned. "And there is also pictures of him giving you a gift. "
"It was the same gift box which you've gifted me as my birthday present. Can't you even recognised that? "
Hearing that, alina snaffled the iPad from bed and rechecked those pictures. She found out piya was saying truth. In those pics, It was her gifted present in AR' hand.
"You are such a fool. " Piya sulked at her.
"What about these pictures then... you two kissing each other like two hungry souls ? " Alina shoot dagger at her.
"Firstly, Eeew... " She made a distasteful face as she continue "And secondly, it was a simple 'Birthday' kiss on the cheek ! They made it look like something else. I swear I didn't kiss him.It was him, who doesn't know how to wish someone' birthday other than that. I hadn't even told him to wish me, he did that by himself. " She was blubbering. "You've to believe me ! "
Alina looked at the pictures than at her sister face. She tried to understand what was the truth. "Fine, I believe you. But, now what? " She sighed.
"Now what? " Piya repeated.
"They'll find you. "
"Who ? " .
"Paparazzi..reporters.. media.. "
"No !! " Piya gulped. She was cursing her bad luck , cursing the person who took their photos. But mostly, she was cursing AR. He was the sole reason it was all happening.
"You are lucky they haven't find you already, but they will, eventually. They would be looking for you or any information about you. According to them your are the new girl in AR' life, the one he is going to marry. "
"What?! " Piya didn't believe she heard it right. Of lately, this was happening to her too much.
"Another news article state that.. not me. " Alina instantly defend herself, handling iPad to her.
"State what ? " Piya asked. She wasn't going to read anything. She was done. This was not just bad, this was too much bad.. too much !
"AR took you to meet his parents and that shows how serious he is about you . And there is rumours about..." Alina stopped , then continue "about wed..wedding bells.." she trailed off meekly.For instance, she feared piya was going to hit her on the head for saying those words. "You got to be kidding me. " Piya said in utterly disbelief "It's like you saw one, then imagine it as two and even after that, didn't think it's big enough. So, multiply it in your head and confidently announced it as Five. Insan...Purely insan ! " She moved her hand across her curly locks, restlessly. She didn't want that and didn't know how to undo it. She was worried about how this situation will turn out. She sat on bedside, lost in her thoughts. "What to do now ? " She asked, absent-mindedly.
"I fear you have to hide for few days, untill people forget this news. We can only hope that media will forget you in somedays and find something more buzzing hot to focus on. "
"God, what I have gotten myself into? " She said it loud in irritation.
"Don't worry everything will be fine in few days. " Alina tried to comfort her.
"What about the school ? Do I have to miss it ? "
"I fear, yes. " She told, continuing "You can't be dumb enough to think that no one from school will know about your this alleged affair with Pop star AR. "
"This isn't true. " Piya said sharply.
"Claire doesn't think so. " Alina said. Piya's mouth left open hearing her one of the classmate name... "What? " She could only say that.
"Yes.Claire phoned me an hour ago to tell me about this news. I hadn't seen it until then. She said she didn't believe it... but God, She sounded jealous. " Alina gave a short laugh.
"She would tell the whole school about it. " Piya expressed her fear.
"Or she would simply tell the reporters that she knows you and you are from her school. " Alina says... Piya's eyes widen with shock. Seeing those expression on her face alina laugh, saying "Don't be afraid. Claire would not tell anything..because If she would then you would be more popular than her in school. I don't think she would let that happen.. "
"We can't say same thing about any other student who will recognise me in this news article. " Piya sighed.
"True that. " She agreed with her "That's why I'm saying you've to hide for few days. "
"I have no other choice. "
"Start packing your bags. I'm going to tell mom and dad that we have to leave. "
"Rightnow? "
"Yep. Before paparazzi and reporters could reach here. " She stepped toward the door. Holding the lock of the door she turned back to her "Are you sure you didn't kiss him ? " She asked again just to be confirmed. That was it ! Piya got annoyed..very annoyed with her question. "Get lost ! " She yelled, throwing pillows toward her ..then books, bedsheet and whatever she found at that moment.
"okay, I understood..understood. " Alina ran out of the room

"This is all their made up story, dad. " AR told to his dad over the phone. He had come back to his condo yesterday late night after spending some time with his parents. He had to come back because of early morning recording , though all this new fiasco forced him to cancel the schedule for the day. "You can ask it to mom yourself.. There wasn't any proposal. She was just a friend.Well, not even a friend... Yeah, I had taken her to home So..? . C'mon, this isn't the first time media have made stories about my hookups. " He stated, advising "Ignore it, dad."
"Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. We were out there in the garden, and it seem pictures has been taken from quite a short distance. I think it is done by someone from housing stuff. You gotta find him and throw him out of the job. " He exhaled. "Thanks, dad. I love you. " He said before disconnecting the call.
Putting phone on kitchen counter, AR went to fridge and got a bottle of water. Coming back to counter he took a glass and pour water in it. He drank it in one draught... then again fill the glass with water and he emptied it too in one draught. "Want some ? " He offered water to his manager who was standing there in total silence.
"No, Sir. " His manager replied. AR phone started buzzing with incoming call. He look at the phone with bored face and answer the call "No James, I ain't getting married anytime soon." He said immediately in a miffed tone and cut the call, even before hearing what the other side person got to say. "Here, take it. " He said to his manager and threw his phone straight to him. Manager caught it in air and then put it in his coat pocket.
"Do you have any idea how much she'd be resenting me now ? " He enounced, stepping out of the kitchen.
"Who, Sir? "
"The girl, Adam. The girl who is in these photos with me. " He came to him. "She'd be hating me for creating this needless disturbance in her life. "
Adam watched him with strange expression as he asked "Is it bothering you, Sir? " . He was working with AR from quite a long time and never saw him so disturb about any rumour. Being a Pop star, AR had his fair share of rumours and media had always done their work of making mountain out of molehill, effortlessly. AR never gave a hoot about it. But this time, he was visibly bother.
"Yes. I want her to like me, Adam. " He accepted the truth. If he was good in something, other than singing then it was accepting truth. "I really enjoyed her company. Those few hours with her were really amazing. She was smart, beautiful and very clear about her dislikeness toward me.. that made her very... unusual." He smiled with just mere a thought of her.
"I think you like her. " Adam says observing AR.
"I think I do. " He replied.
Adam lips curved into a smile "So what do we do now. You want me to look for her ? "
"No ! " He blurted . "It's not like as you think and it could never be. We are poles apart. If I said I liked being with her doesn't mean I'm going to be with her, okay ? " He said and adam nodded meekly. He ignored the smile on adam face as he continue "I just want you to look into this matter. Do something and clear this air. So that paparazzi or reporters won't trouble her and leave her alone in her life."
"Your kissing Pics are everywhere on the Internet. I don't think we could save her from trouble. "
"What about giving a statement that it's all fake ? " AR suggested. Though he didn't like saying that, he would do that if it could save her from trouble.
"You've never reacted to any rumour in past, if you do now, they will obviously think it does matter to you and this news have some weight in it. " Adam stated.
"And if I won't react, they will keep making different stories and bugging her. " He sighed. He never cared about what media posted about him and always let his work spoke for him. There were several rumours about his never occured love relationships and breakups in past. One thing he had understand in his so far 6 years old long career was media loved to make stories, and he had gotten used to it by now. He had been in some on and off relationships, though not as many as media claimed.
"Wait for some time, Sir. If they won't give up on this news, we will release a statement. Reacting at this moment would be too soon.. and will also create suspicion." Adam adviced him. AR give his words a thought and agreed with him.

Piya was back in denville overnight. it was hard to explain her parents why their daughter had kissed a Pop star, and it was even harder to tell them that same news had gone viral. They hadn't told him anything about kissing pics. Her dad words still fresh in her head "You too, piya ? wasn't alina enough for these crazy things? I thought you are the wiser one and fully focused on becoming a doctor. Have you gave up on that? " . She had gone highly embarrassed, and somehow explained everything to them... not everything though. She still hadn't told them about the truth of her accident.
Leaving LA overnight proven a wise decision for them.After 2 days they received a call from uncle sam. He told them that reporters had gathered infront his home and waiting for piya to come out.They were lurking behind windows and even trying to get into house to captured piya's pics.Once, her cousin brother nick even gotten into a fist fight with them.They were asking weird questions and wanted to know about the girl who was rumoured to be AR 's new girlfriend. Uncle sam lied them that he didn't know whom they were asking about and requested them to leave, but they didn't. The news spread everywhere, and made its way to entertainment column of news papers.. and her dad finally saw those kissing pics. He wasn't angry at her as she feared he would.. he was just disappointed.
A week passed since her return to town. Alina had suggested her to avoid going out for few days . It was just school piya worried about otherwise it wasn't a big deal for her to spend her time at home because she always prefer staying at home rather than gathering or partying. She enjoyed her time with books more than unnecessary chatting. And that was where she had found solace again.. books. She hardly left her room since her return and didn't dare to turned her phone on. She isolated herself from the outer world. She didn't want to know what new had been said about her and AR on the Internet. She indulge herself in books and at a times she was catching up her syllabus and making important notes. Alina hadn't told her what was happening in school, but she knew everyone was talking about her only. Piya knew because she had call a friend, named Jenny, from her science class to get the notes. Jenny came over to give her notes but was much interested to know whether or not all those news were true. She also told her what other students think about the same. Piya wasn't surprised to know that she had became a topic of discussion in school. Though She tried to ignored it, all this was affecting her very much. That unwanted attention was more than she could handle.
Piya knew she couldn't hide in her room forever, though she wish she could, but sooner or later she had to face everyone. She feared how she would handled to be in public again. She cursed AR when she feel annoyed. He was the reason it was all happening to her. But sometimes, she also thought it was not all his fault. He didn't do anything intentionly.
Alina said she was lucky because media couldn't have traced her. They hadn't faced any media trouble at school untill now and no paparazzi outside their house. So far everything was good. That what alina says.

"A week over and media is still after her, Adam. " Abhay uttered, seeing new article over the same news.
"They have got nothing new to say. They haven't find any information about her, not even her name. They keep saying her 'mysterious girl' " Adam chuckled.
"They are sneaking outside her house. "
"They are not even sure if she live there. " Adam stated.
AR knew she lived there..then he remembered she was from denville. But he had dropped her in that same neighbourhood and in LA she was living there. There was a chance that she'd have gone back to her home, denville...but if not, she would be forced to hide herself in the house. The thought was quite disturbing. "It's high time we clear this rumour. I'm worried they won't leave her alone untill they hear something from me. "
Adam let out a breath "Fine. What you'd say to them ? "
"Anything that will stop them from going after her. "

(Two days later..)
"Piya... " Her mother called her name from living room, holding landline phone "..It's jenny on the phone. "
"Tell her that I'm not at home. " Piya' voice came from her room. She didn't want to talk with her or anyone. She wasn't in mood to hear what claire and her gang was bitching about her. Last time when jenny visited , she had told her that claire was saying to some fellow students that piya had planned it all by herself and it was her cheap tricks to get famous overnight. According to claire, piya had been faking to dislike him untill now, but in reality, was stalking him during her LA visit and when she got a chance she took those pictures and sell them to media with a fake story. Claire was shamelessly spreading this made up story about her in school, and that made piya hate her even more.
"Jenny wanted to talk.. " Her mother shouted again.
"How can I talk when I'm not at home? " She shouted back from her room
"Piya...! " Her mom sounded angry.
"Coming... " She gave up and came out of her room. She came and her mom gave her phone speaker. Then went to the kitchen, leaving piya to talk.
"Yeah, jenny. I'm hearing. " She said with not interested tone.
"Are you alright ? " Jenny asked her abruptly . With her tone piya felt something was wrong. She got a gut feeling that says she wasn't going to like the news. "Why are you asking ? " She asked.
Jenny let out a breath of relieve "I thought you'd be devastated after seeing that new article. But it feels you are doing fine... good, don't... " She was about to say more but piya interrupted "Which new article? "
"Haven't you seen it ? " Jenny bit her toungue.
"What it says, jenny ? " She asked directly. It was unnerving her. God, why this wasn't ended already?! She thought, restlessly.
"Piya... "
"What it says?! "
"I think you should see it yourself. " Saying that jenny disconnected the call, leaving piya disturb and more restless.
Throwing phone on sofa, Piya rushed back to her room and snapped up her laptop. She opened it hurriedly and search for the news. She didn't have to look for long time. There were so many article pop up regarding the same news. Top search news article had the headline that says "AR reacts to rumours regarding the 'mysterious girl' ". She felt relieved that her identity was yet not revealed. She select on the article link, and read it ...but she wished she hadn't.
"American pop sensation AR, who has taken the Internet by storm last week after he got captured in pics while kissing a curly head girl, has reacted to string of rumours that he is dating the same girl. Her identity is still unknown.
A month before his World tour, his dating rumours intensified when an entertainment portal posted a news along with some pics, claiming that 23 years old singer is now planning to settle in his life. In pictures, the very good looking AR was kissing a girl who is rumoured to be his lady love. It was also said that AR had taken her to meet his parents and they both spent several hours in the house together.
The pictures are making round on Internet since then with different kinds of story. Some source of music industry even stated that the pair are in relationship from quite some time. The news of AR supposedly hiding his girlfriend from the world quickly became a hot topic on social media sites.
"The lonely lover" singer has now reacted to the stories of him being committed. He dismissed the speculation and says " This is totally rubbish. I'm still a free bird. That girl was just a crazy fan.. nothing more ".
On being asked what he was doing with her at his parents house he has clarified saying that he was there to meet his parents and he has no idea how she came there. They hadn't spent anytime together. Most probably the girl was stalking him. He clearly stated he has nothing to do with her and those pics has been wrongly interpreted. Like this, he wish to put a full stop on all the rumours.
Thus, it would be safe to say that AR is still very single, and 'The mysterious girl' was just an another creepy crazy stalker or fan of him .. nothing more. "-------
"What the f*ck it is ?! " AR reacted after reading the article. "I didn't said 'crazy fan', and how could they call her creepy or stalker ! " He said in disbelief, feeling miffed. "Just because they assumed she was stalking me ? She could've been there by chance. How could they humilate her like that?"
"They just believe in making their news more spicy and sensational. They don't give a damn about other' s sentiments. " Adam said, adding " That's why I wasn't in favour of this idea. "
"God..! " leaving laptop on sofa, he sat up in anger. He walked few steps away from him then running his hand across his hairs, he came back to him. He opened his mouth to say something, but his phone ring interrupted him.

Never in her whole life piya felt so humiliated. Not just the tone of the article was so insulting, but they freely declared her as a "Creepy crazy stalker." As soon she finished reading it, Claire popped in her head. She was spreading excatly same words against piya in school that she had been stalking AR. And now, as a prove she got this article that call piya a 'creepy crazy stalker. '. She wasn't going to get over with these words anytime soon.
Agitated, she opened other links. Every article said same thing. There were comments of people who was laughing on her, calling her attention seeker. One say "The girl was in desperate need of attention.", then other say "Cheap fan tactics ". They didn't know her still making judgemental comments about her freely. She didn't want to read those comments but it was hard to ignore. There was a comment that says She wasn't pretty enough or ugly for being AR' s girlfriend. They were mocking her looks, mocking her upbringing and mocking for just the sake of mocking her.
Piya shut the laptop forcefully before those comments could hurt her anymore than they had already. She wasn't a weak person, but it was all new to her, and more than she could bear. She could not handled that the world was talking rubbish about her. Tears form in her eyes. After all this how she would face everyone in school? How she would face claire?. She could hear their laugh in her ears. She saw claire infront of her eyes, she was there in her room.. laughing on her and making fun of her. The voice were so loud, but didnt stop. Piya hastily put her hands on her ears and closed her eyes. "Stop it !! " she yelled, and everything went silent.
After few moments she opened her eyes. Claire wasn't there. There was no voice. She tried to calm herself down. It wasn't the end of this great humiliation period .. it was just starting. She had to brace herself for it. She hated it. She hated everyone who was talking rubbing about her. She hated him for everything. Yes, She hated him ! . Angry tears ran down her cheeks. She would never forgive him. She thought in rage. Wiping tears, she stood up and went to her wardrobe. She grabbed his concert passes from an inside drawer.
Holding passes in her hand Piya came back and took her cell from bedside table. After turning on it she dialled the number which was written behind on one of those pass. AR had written this number for her.
He answer the call in second ring. "Hello ? " She heard his voice, that just raised her anger.
"I hate you.." She said in a voice full of anger. It took him a moment to recognised her voice. "Four-eyed girl..??" He said in disbelief . Perhaps, he wasn't expecting her to call him. "No..I mean..I mean piya. Piya, listen... I can explain." He tried to say.
"I hate you so much ! " She repeated, and then disconnected the call. He called her back immediately, but she didn't answer and threw the phone on bed. She tore the concert passes and threw them onto floor. She didn't understand why she was feeling worst and why she couldn't stop herself from crying, but her tears just weren't stopping. He kept calling her again and again. In the end, She took her phone, got its SIM card out, and broke it into two pieces.Edited by abhiya4evr - 8 years ago
