It's New Year but life wasn't merciful to Piya and didn't give her anything much except uncertainties in new year. Her Uncle Stefan is no more leaving her as an orphan. She passed all her exams and now is free from Damenshift forever. Aunty Matilda has made it pretty clear that Piya can come for vacations anytime she wants but she must like to stay and study in Luxemburg. Meaning she isn't welcome here forever and neither Aunt Matilda is going to give her even a penny for studies. Uncle Stephan has no savings except his house and a little book store that was closed long ago. Now Aunt Matilda has reopened it since she needs money to run the house and herself too. Knowing this is going to be very difficult for her too, Piya came back for her exams and got rescued by Uncle Stephan's cousin and Piya's Aunt Ellsa. She and her husband Earnest are childless and it's from the funeral of Stephan that they decided to help Piya. She was hesitant at first but then agreed on condition that they will help Piya find a part-time job, so that she can pay her bills for college education. She would be staying with them only but she didn't want to become a burden on them. Before starting her college she now helps Aunty Ellsa in her bakery work and also she tuitions two kids across the road. She is applying for scholarships in colleges. She keeps wondering if Abhay really came to take her or not. She hasn't heard from him since her birthday but time to time she remembers him and wonders if he still even remembered her or not.
Piya was in the market to collect groceries today. She was browsing through various food stalls in the open market when she felt a weird sensation and sensed the presence of a familiar shadow. Was she dreaming? Could he really be here? How can he be? How would he have found where she is living?
"I can always find you even if you go into hiding in another corner of the world my love."
She turned around half afraid half excited hearing his familiar seductive voice. "You here?"
"Yes! Did you actually think, you can escape from me? I have my own means of finding whosoever I have set my heart upon Piya."
"But how?"
"Never mind that! You have made me wait too long for you and so I am taking you with me"
"I can't. Aunt Ellsa and Uncle are waiting for me to return home."
"They can wait..."
Before Piya could speak further, Abhay had held her steadfast by her waist and jumped on his horse standing nearby and was galloping away from the market, into the wilderness. They were in the middle of the forest, when Piya begged him to stop. Abhay halted reluctantly and got down the horse and then helped Piya do the same.
"What is it Piya? We are just a little away from my cottage. I have missed you and I want to be with you."
"No Abhay, I can't go to your cottage."
"Why? I know that you like me too, and were missing me just like I was missing you, then why are you holding yourself back?"
"No Abhay. You won't understand. I... I.. don't think like that. I am not like that."
Abhay lost his patience, "Oh Damn it Piya. No matter how much I want you, it would never be sufficient for you. I have never chased anyone like I have chased you, but I guess that's not enough for you. You want something else, something more.."
"Abhay.. what are you saying?"
"Forget it. I should just drop you back to your market"
Saying that Abhay carried Piya back to the market and the silence journey brought tears which Piya had a hard time hiding. Abhay vanished the moment he had dropped her and she wondered if she had lost him forever. She collected the groceries and proceeded towards home with a miserable heart. As she reached the home, she found a carriage just leaving from there. The carriage was covered with a rich tapestry such which she had seldom seen before. She wondered who this could be. She entered the house and found Aunt Ellsa in a thoughtful state. She asked her who that carriage belonged to and Aunt Ellsa was startled out of her thoughtful state. She nervously answered, "Oh it was just someone to see Earnest regarding some work. You know that the festival is coming up next week, so all the arrangements for security and decorations need to be done. Since Earnest knows this place well, the authorities want his active participation. It was just regarding that. Nothing important!" Saying this Ellsa disappeared into kitchen avoiding any further questions about the topic and Piya wondered if she was telling the truth, but then again, why would she lie? She brushed the thought aside and got busy in preparing for her upcoming classes with the kids trying hard to keep Abhay and his thoughts away.
It was one week since that day, one week since she last met Abhay probably for the last time. The thought hurt her bad, but she had to carry on the charade. She cannot even share her thoughts with anyone. They would either not believe her, or would ask her to thank her stars. No one would have wanted her to trust Abhay even one bit after all that happened between them. A part of her told her she too should not trust him, after all he never promised her anything and his intentions were far from noble the first time they met, yet another part of her or rather the dominant part of her heart longed to meet him again. Piya took part in the festival half-heartedly. She would have given it a skip had the kids she tutors, not insisted on taking her along. It was late by the time she reached home and she found Aunt Ellsa in an extremely excited state. The moment she saw Piya, she gave her a tight hug and exclaimed, "Oh there you are Piya. What good fortune has come our way by the Grace of God Piya! Oh I can't believe we are going to be so honoured. I thank my God a million times for making me take the decision of bringing you here with us. Piya could not understand what her aunt was going on about, and asked what the matter was but she just exclaimed, "Oh Please do come inside Piya. His lordship must not be kept waiting. Oh but your hair are such a mess. Let me brush it a little to make you presentable." Saying that, Aunt Ellsa smoothened Piya's hair with her hands and ushered her inside the drawing room where a guest was waiting. He was looking at some framed pictures with his back to Piya. Something was familiar about him. Piya felt a strange lump in her throat as she guessed who he was. She heard Aunt Ellsa locking the drawing room door from outside. She was now alone in the room with the guest with her heart beating really fast. The guest turned around and gave his sexiest smile to her.
Piya clutched her chest to stop her heart from leaping out as it was racing too fast seeing Abhay in front of her. He wasn't dressed casually this time. Rather he was wearing really Royal looking clothes and was looking like the picture of a Greek Lord himself. Piya could barely speak when Abhay got down on his knees in front of her and took her hand in his and said,
"Piya, I never believed in all this. I have had many women in my life before, but I never felt this way before. I have never wanted to be with anyone the way I have wanted to be with you. But I know that you are not like the other women I have been with. I know you will never be mine till I submit myself completely to you, and so today I surrender myself to you Piya. Will you now return the favour and marry me?"
This time Piya could not say no. She clutched his hand tightly and nodded her yes with tears of happiness brimming through her eyes. She may be too young and immature, but she knew that she loved Abhay and she would never feel the same way about anyone else. He may have been a bad boy before, and maybe he would never change in future too, but she knew that he would always be the one her heart will desire. She smiled heartedly for the first time in many days when Abhay slipped a beautiful ring on her finger.
Soon they were married in the presence of Aunt Ellsa and her husband Earnest by the local priest there and this time when Abhay carried Piya on his horse towards the forest, there was no fear in her heart. Rather there was happiness mixed with shyness as she thought of what was awaiting her. Abhay took her to the now familiar cottage and Piya was pleasantly surprised to see it well decorated with many balloons and streamers. There were multi-coloured lights arranged in beautiful patterns all along the house giving it a magnificent picture of a house of celebrations. As they entered the cottage, Piya found it shiny clean and decorated with many fresh flower bouquets filling the air with their pleasant fragrance. Dinner was nicely arranged on the table but there was no one else at the cottage, not that anyone was required to be there to protect her anymore. She was now with her husband whom she loved. Before Piya could even move closer to the dining table, Abhay's strong arms engulfed her in his embrace from behind. He moved her hair aside and whispered in her ears, "I hope you are not too hungry for food my love!" His breath ignited Piya's senses and the husky tone delivered Abhay's message to her very well. She knew what he wanted and now she could not say no, not that she wanted anyway. She closed her eyes enjoying the sensations of Abhay's touches as his fingers trailed over her arms, raising the sleeve of her gown upwards. They moved to her back tracing patterns of love and slowly she felt Abhay unzipping her gown. A new shiver ran down her spine as she experienced sensations she had never felt before. Abhay lifted her bridal style and took her to the bedroom which was now theirs and made sweet love to her all night long thus completing her transition from a girl to a woman.
The next few days passed with Abhay showering her with his love which was sometimes gentle and sometimes rough. Food was laid on the table from time to time, but Piya never got to see anyone in the cottage as Abhay always kept her busy. But one day, when Piya came out of her shower, she found Abhay in a sad mood. She asked him what was the matter and Abhay replied that a messenger has sent the message that his father has taken ill and wants to meet him. Abhay was worried that his father was as yet clueless about his marriage, but he intend to inform him the moment he meets him. Piya assured him that she trusted him and promising to return soon, Abhay took her leave.
