i believe he sensed it that piya is in danger b/c he found out that it was metz with him and he even said where is piya then and went to look for her. bad timing b/c he was attacked otherwise he would find piya and took her out of that place!

not to worry alina is nothing to abhay then a good friend, she won't be there much for sure, this plot is only for metz and piya😳
