STAR One actors wish everyone a Happy & Safe Diwali

Every Indian celebrates Diwali, the festival of lights and prosperity with great enthusiasm, and our STAR One actors love this festival too. Check out their plans for this Diwali.

Abhay aka Vivian D'sena
During Diwali, I will be in Mumbai and will do puja at my house. This Diwali is very special to me because I will be celebrating it with my ladylove 'Vahbbiz. I really like the whole atmosphere which is filled with excitement. I like the different styles of rangolis and diyas too. I am not that enthusiastic about bursting crackers as I find it a waste of money. Instead of bursting crackers, I plan to donate money to the NGOs. I support the Go Green ideology as well because it's very important to save our environment. I love all kinds of sweets and my mom will come to Mumbai after Diwali. She will bring sweets right from karanjis to shaakar pala. My nani (maternal grand mother) makes chappan bhog on the first day of Diwali.

I plan to celebrate Diwali at home because I'm not keeping well. The thing I love about Diwali is that it is a celebration of lights, and you get to eat a lot of sweets - guilt free. Everything looks fresh and nice; I think lighting diyas, decorating the house and receiving gifts is the best part of Diwali. It's high time that people realize the bad effects of bursting crackers. For a safe Diwali, people should play with fireworks carefully.

Jeh aka Ritwik Dhanjani
My friend is coming from Dubai for this Diwali, so I will be spending time with him. I really look forward to Diwali for two things - first when I was fat, I used to just hog on sweets and love bursting crackers, which I didn't do when I was in Dubai. I like everything from cleaning the house to different rangolis and the whole excitement which comes a week before Diwali. I believe one must really do something to save our environment and I am hoping people will understand the importance of the environment rather than bursting crackers. One must also be cautious while bursting crackers, especially kids - so please don't harm yourself.

I have told crew members of the show to allow me half a day off, so that I can plan for the Diwali celebration. I generally spend time with my friends by playing cards. I remember last time we played cards - for all five days of the festival. I like the brightness on the streets and kandils. Among the festivities, I love playing cards the most which I find best. We play all night - it's fun. I am not fan of bursting crackers but we are more into playing cards, we are big juaris!! I do believe in going green and it's better to spend time with friends rather than bursting crackers.

This Diwali is going to be very special for me because I will be spending time with my family, who are coming from Pune. I will also be attending Vivian's house pooja. Every street is full of lights, the whole city is decorated with light and people enjoy everywhere. I like to decorate the house with different style of diyas and give gifts to my friends. I am not much into playing cards. I feel it's better not to waste your money on crackers which add to noise and air pollution but for shagun, you can light up a phool jhadi or anar. My mother always keeps the house door open for Lakshmi mata to come inside during the puja.

Misha aka Priya Wal
I will be shooting on three days of Diwali. I am not a religious person or taking part in any Diwali rituals as such. But as a kid, I used to burst crackers with my parents but with time the craze for bursting crackers has gone. I like to visit my friend's place for Diwali as I just love the whole atmosphere. I know it's high time we do something to save our environment. But just telling people to go green won't make a point because they will burst crackers anyway. I don't think it's wrong as it's their way of expressing their happiness. I just want to tell the kids to be careful while bursting crackers.

I love priya's wish most. Coz she is right. Telling people not to burst crackers willn't effect. People will do whatever they want.
