Piya couldn't believe it. The most popular guy in college wanted HER. HER! Of course she didn't really like him that much, except for his looks. But she couldn't let this chance go waste! He was a nice guy, wasn't he?
Oh, Jeh!" Piya finally exclaimed after a moment's silence, "I'm so surprised... But yes, I will date you. Thank you sooo much!!!"
"You don't need to thank me, Piya," Jeh replied, "I'm not doing you a favour. I really like you. A lot. And I'm sure we'll date for at least six months -
jo mere liya kaafi zyaada hai, y'know!"
Piya giggled.
Jeh grinned and hugged Piya, who closed her eyes, content. Misha had been wrong. Jeh was perfect for her. They were going to be the college's It couple now, and every girl would wish she were Piya.
Suddenly, a shadow swept across the tree. Piya, unaware, began saying, "
Pata hai Jeh, I thought you flirted with all the girls. I didn't know that
tum mere baare mein itne serious ho. I'm really shocked."
A girl landed her feet, near Piya. It was T.
Jeh grimaced. He hated doing this, watching a poor human lose her soul for their benefit. But it wasn't like he was going against the law - T and him had approached the Vampire Queen and the Werewolf Lord a long time ago. They just had to wait for the right time - and that was now.
T opened her mouth wide, smiled at her poor, innocent victim resting in her so-called new boyfriend's arms, and pulled Piya towards her.
"Wha -" Piya started, but then screamed so loud that Jeh jumped.
T bit into Piya with all the power she could muster, and then all she could sense, smell, feel and taste... was blood.
(Meanwhile, Raichand Estate)"Hey Abhay," Misha said as soon as Abhay received the call. "Hey Mish, 'sup?" Abhay asked, "
Is time pe phone? Kaise?"
"DUDE!" She shrieked, "
Maha drama yaar!"
"Huh?"
"Jeh and Piya! Officially a couple!!"
Abhay almost dropped his phone, "What??
Tum kya keh rahi ho, Misha?" He exclaimed, a sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Yes!" Misha said, "He asked her out in the jungle. I was spying on them!!!!"
"That's - that's... great!" Abhay muttered, wiping his sweaty brows. Why was he sweating all of a sudden?
"I know,
hai na? Piya's gonna be so happy! What say,
hum kal college mein uske liye surprise throw karte hain, alright? Congrats, the soon-to-be Mrs. Jeh Khurana!"
"WHAT??" Abhay shouted so loud, that Haseena Raichand yelled, "
Sab theek hai, Abhay?" from the kitchen.
"Duh, Abs!" Misha replied, "It'll be so much fun to tease her! And you know
woh kaisi sharmili-types hai! Totally, Abhay!"
Abhay was about to reply when he heard a voice coming from Misha's side: "
Misha beta,
yahaan aana zara..."
"I'll T.T.Y.L, okay?" Misha murmured, "Bye, Abs!" She hung up, and Abhay sighed, sitting on his bed. Jeh and Piya?? But how? He had never heard any such rumour about Jeh liking Piya. And rumours spread fast in Mount College. Then why... how... ?
"Oh god," he frowned, "I think I like her. And I realise only now!! Damn it!!" He punched the wall with his fist hard, and wincing, sighed. Wrong timing to realise his feelings. And now, he couldn't even do anything about it.
(Back at the jungle)"You really think this will work?" T frowned, as they both stuffed Piya into the
dikki of Jeh's car.
"Haan," Jeh replied, "
Usey tumhara ghar le jaate hain. Then Mr. and Mrs. Ambolkar will help us out."
"Hmmm," T muttered, upset. A new Vampress? She didn't like this...
As Jeh drove the car, he asked, "
Achcha toh how does this work again?"
"Mom and Dad will revive her using that voodoo spell.
Maine abhi tak woh vampire spell seekhi nahi hai. Then if she's strong enough to wake up within five hours, she's a vampire. Warna..."
"So when she wakes up, she'll be a full-fledged vampire?" Jeh asked.
"Yep," T replied, "Mom can put an anti-human blood spell on her for a few days. It'll help control her thirst. But... Can't we just kill her off? She was a pain to begin with!"
"
Kisi ne humein dekha tha, remember?" Jeh reminded her, "We can't kill her. I'll go to jail, man!"
"Whatever," T fumed, "

(Kabir's house)"I'm confused," Angad frowned, "
Tumhe T pasand hai ya Misha?"
"I don't remember!" Kabir said, "It's as if T
ko dekh ke main sab kuch bhool gaya!"
"Dude," Angad rolled his eyes, "T is really weird.
Woh poore din itni gori rehti hai, even though she's always in the sun because of her cheerleading!"
"
Sunscreen ka naam suna hai?" Kabir laughed, "I guess not."
"Let's call up Jeh," Angad suggested, "He can help us. Plus,
tumhari bakbak sunke main bore ho raha hoon."
Kabir hit Jeh's number, and Jeh picked up after five rings, "Hello????"
He sounded anxious.
"Dude, I need girl advice yaar!" Kabir said, "As usual.
Tu mere yahaan aayega? Anyway it's just 9:30 or so."
"Li-listen," Jeh exclaimed quickly, "I'll call you in twenty minutes. I'm on a date."
"Sorry, bro," Angad said into the phone, "Fine. Bye." He kept the phone down.
"
Us kameene ke paas har night date hoti hai!" Kabir whined, "Just not fair!"
(Misha's house)"Hey, Dad," Misha said, walking into her dad Arnab's study, "'Sup?"
"Sup, sup," he replied, "Look, beta. You know what I do, right?"
"Business man," Misha laughed, "Aur kya?"
"No," he frowned, "Uske alaawa."
"OH!!" Misha grinned, "That vampire slayer thing. Dad, I'm not ten anymore.
Main in sab cheezon mein vishwaas nahi karti."
"Beta," Arnab shook his head, "You're the chosen one of this family. You have to uphold this profession."
"Blah, blah, blah," Misha said, making faces.
"Misha!!" Her dad yelled, mad, "I'm serious. Look, now. You're turning 20 in six months.
Uske baad, I can hand all the slaying to you
. Is sheher mein vampires hain. I don't know who exactly,
lekin there are vampires here. And it's up to you to save your family.
Maine apne Anti-Vampire Detective Kit par kaam kiya abhi abhi. Someone has just been converted. And newborn Vampires
sabse dangerous hote hain... They have NO control!! Are you with me?"
Misha shrugged, then yelled, "PANCHI! OH, birdie!
Tumne apni Twilight books phir Dad ke study mein chhod di kya? He's talking about vampires again! GOD, Dad! Whatever!"
Misha laughed once, and walked out of the study. Vampires? Yeah right!
Next: It's been four and a half hours, and Piya still hasn't woken up. Jeh is worried. T is happy. Things are going the way she wants them to.
Abhay keeps calling Piya's phone, but no one picks up. He's worried for her, because he doesn't trust Jeh.
Misha can't wait to go to college the next day and laugh about her dad's stupid vampire bakwaas with Piya.
But will they see Piya again? And even if they do, will she ever be the good ol' normal human Piya Jaiswal again? Stay tuned to find out... *suspense*
