Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani Serial telecasted on Star One Channel saw an interesting twist in the tale when Panchi Dobriyal (Vahbbiz Dorabjee) who fakes a relationship with Abhay Raichand (Vivian Dsena) to get rid off Neil Khurana (Suyash Kumar) from her life really falls in love with him though Abhay is her sister Pia's love interest. As for Abhay, his motto of playing the love drama with Panchi was to keep Pia away from him as he is a Vampire. Abhay wants Piya to have a normal and happy human life and not a dangerous life with a monster like him. He tries to keep her away from him by his mean and Casanova behavior but it does not work. He then starts playing a love drama with Pia's sister Misha Dobriyal as suggested by her as Pia would not do anything that would make her sister unhappy and would try to forget Abhay. Every thing goes well till Pia finds the truth of Misha and Abhay's relationship. Piya questions Misha as to why she had to fake a relationship with Abhay to protect her. Panchi interferes and tells Pia that the sister Misha is trying to protect is not Pia but herself and that she is the one who is in love with Abhay Raichand. Pia believes her lies and tries to accept the relationship. Panchi on her part also convinces Abhay to play the love drama with her saying that both of them could benefit from it. She tells him that he can keep Pia from getting closer to him and she would be able to break her engagement with Neil by faking a relationship with him. All seemed to be going well but circumstances throw Pia and Abhay together more than once and Pia realizes that Abhay has feelings for her just like her. Abhay tries to put her suspicions to rest by acting closer to Panchi Dobriyal. At the Friendship Day Party Panchi uses Abhay against Neil. Abhay also admits to Neil's Brother Jeh Khurana (Rithvick Dhanjani) that he is Panchi's Boyfriend. After kissing Abhay at the Friendship Day Party and dancing with him Panchi's feelings towards Abhay change. At the Dinner Party at Dobriyal House where the Raichand's and Khurana's were present, Panchi makes her feelings for Abhay obvious in front of all. She also confesses her feelings for Abahy to him only to be rejected by him.

Abhay Raichand is the 3rd Guy whom Panchi falls in love with. Before Abhay she was also in love with Danish Singh Rathore and Siddharth Mehra (Siddhant Karnick) only to be cheated by them in love. There are some similarities between Panchi and Maithili. Just like Maithili, Panchi also falls in love with both the vampire Brothers, Abhay and Siddharth. Just like Maithili, Panchi Dobriyal loses her love battle to Pia who is Abhay's love interest. Panchi dared to love Abhay even when she was aware of her sister Pia's feelings for him.
