Woke up today without a soul
woke up today half of a whole
I walk on streets of burning amber
My world has been set aflame
I felt the iron fist of death clutch my soul within it's grip,

"Hhmm, am getting good with words",thought Abhay. He closed his diary and looked out. It was a dark night,Abhay came in front of the window and opened the glass planes as wide as it can go. The cold breeze caressing Abhay's face made him shiver for a second,he chuckled. Abhay thought "Is there anything in this world for which i would trade my soul?...umm wait a minute,I don't have a soul". Taking a deep breath, Abhay took out something from his pockets, a silver chain with a "S" locket. Abhay,touched the locket very softly,remembering the last time, he held Piya in his arms. Abhay had replaced Piya's mom's locket with his locket which still hangs in Piya's neck to protect her from any trouble,but some how she manages to end up in deep shit every time. The only difference is,she doesn't remembers it anymore. Abhay held the chain closed to his heart and thought,"If only I was a human...,if only I had a second chance...". Piya is miles apart from him today,she is changed. And all this,just to protect her. Abhay felt a spam of pain inside him. He knows he have to do it. Have to stay away from her. "Life's so unfair!" exclaimed Abhay. Laughing to himself Abhay thought,"Why the hell am I thinking like a teenage boy? Weird!". Just then his phone rang,"What is it mom?","Abhay, are you alright?" inquired Haseena. "No,am going insane." replied Abhay. "Everything's gonna be alright sweetheart. I know you are strong, I believe in you." assured Haseena. "Thanks mom. I need to go out now,have a check on Piya". and he disconnected the line. Abhay wondered, "Life's not so bad after all. Glad I have parents life Chand and Haseena"
He pulled his coat out, and before heading out of the door, he gave a last glance on the mirror, he smiled,"Yes, If I have a soul, I would trade it for Piya."
And he shut the door tight.
